Lukimbi Safari Lodge

Thank Lukimbi for an amazing stay! It was a lifetime experience. I loved the location, the game drives and of course spotting the big 5! I hope I will be able to come back one day! Thank you Sheldon, Stranger and the rest of the great Lukimbi team!

Incredible experience on our honeymoon. Stayed three nights but would have preferred three weeks. Not enough superlatives to describe how much we loved this place. Highly organized, clean, comfortable...but still felt like you were in the bush. The staff was first rate in every way shape or form. It was every apparent from the second we set foot on the property that they were truly geniune in wanting us to have an amazing experience. Lyborn and Gloria went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed from a food/beverage perspective, even setting us up a special table for our honeymoon meal. Will never forget how amazing these two individuals were. James and his ranger staff were also amazing. Two, three hour game drives per day, plus a one hour walking tour. James went out of his way to make sure we saw the big 5, but we actually saw the super 7, along with honey badgers too! Wifi was spotty at best, which was actually great because it allowed us to soak in each an every moment. The rooms were remarkably clean, had great water pressure, and were easy to make cool at night. I'd highly recommend Lukimbi Safari Lodge to anyone considering a trip to The Kruger. We will 100% be staying there again next time we visit.

Wow! What an amazing experience. First rate experience all around. Exceptional attention to detail exhibited by the staff. The game drives in the 37,000 acre Lukimbi concession and Kruger proper were outstanding. Our driver, James, plus our spotter, Timba, had us all laughing while they showed us the Big 5 plus Hippos, Giraffes, Zebras, Hyenas, Jackals, and many other animals. I was amazed at the luxury accommodations in the middle of the bush. The entire hotel overlooks a watering hole where Rhinos, Elephants and Water Buffaloes visit. Food and wine selection is outstanding. Lyborn, the bartender, went out of his way to make us feel welcome, is very knowledgeable regarding wine and makes outstanding drinks. The only thing that I found odd is that we had to pay for the majority of our drinking water. Meals, juices and coffee are included so I was surprised when we had to purchase water.

If you want an authentic African wildlife experience, as well as oh-so-many luxuries, then this is your place. Run by a highly professional team who truly love the African bush, which means you get amazing luxury but also authenticity- not often found to go hand in hand. No attention to detail is too small. Superb accommodation, ambience, food, great guides and trackers. Lukimbi deserves every bit of the success it enjoys. I'm in two minds whether to share this amazing find with anyone else in case they get too busy to accommodate me again! We've been here before. And will happily come again.

I would like to say a huge thank you to the whole Lukimbi team and especially Sean and Thomas for the wonderful experience we had at the safari lodge. Both the stay and the safaris were great. We had game drives full of breathtaking moments such as observing a huge family of hyenas next to their den, being in the middle of the elephant family, or handling chameleons during the evening drives. Moreover, not only were the game drives amazing, but also the rooms were spacious and had beautiful views. Not to mention that the food was delicious and healthful. It is one of the places that we will definitely return for our future vacations.

Extraordinary/unforgettable experience. Every staff member went above and beyond and they work so hard to make every guest have a perfect trip. Rooms are a tad dated, but they’re still up to standards given how remote the lodge is. Food was 5/5. Delicious each meal. I’m getting hungry thinking about it. Only meal I didn’t love was the kudu but that’s only because it’s a game meat and chewy.

EPIC, only my 3rd game park experience but nothing comes close, the hospitality quality of the lodge and staff was exceptional, however or Guide Bredon and Tracker Thomas were provided an unbelievable time in the bush, they worked tirelessly to enable us to see the not only the big 5 but taught us and our kids the beauty of the countless animals they have here at Lukimbi , if you’re considering Lukimbi just stop and book it up. Unbeatable

This is by far the most beautiful safari lodge. My husband and I celebrated our long awaited honeymoon in South Africa for 3 weeks and Lukimbi has been our highlight. The staff is incredible and easy to converse with, the ranger and tracker were super knowledgeable, and the food was delightful. They went above and beyond to accommodate my celiacs with gluten free bread, pastries, desserts and the like. This place is truly magical. The views of Krueger were unbeatable an elephant stopped by for an afternoon dip in the river while we were eating lunch on the deck and the accommodation was beautiful. On our last night, the staff had drawn a bath and laid out candles and left a personalized note for our honeymoon. My only regret was not staying at Lukimbi longer than we did 2 nights to enjoy the room and relax by the pool more.
