I wanted creamy spinach especially and butter then I decided to settle for this so called mixed vegetables even though it’s not cream spinach I wanted I then decided to make it a meal and add rice and beef stew ohh what a disappointment I tried to eat is the meat but still poor taste and quality the rice smells like it stayed for a long time the vegetables are full of fine sand every bite you feel it the butternut it has its own funny taste and smell I mean the each portion disappointed enough to make up this whole meal.never again

The slowest service I've ever experienced at any Spar in the country only one till open during lunch time, the second till was temporarily closed because the cleaner was CASUALLY mopping the floor, while chatting to the cashier. First time going there and certainly the last!!! They take too long to prepare food because the cooks stop and chat with each other in the middle of serving. Horrible cooked food. Dry fish and overly crispy chips. Poor hygiene too, green flies on salads, I wanted to jump over the counter and swat them - I was annoyed and disgusted at the same time. No condiments - had to ask them to refill the vinegar and again, the lady went to get the vinegar but not without stopping to chat to her colleague. I think employees there think they are at some social gathering!

Poor quality meat and fresh produce. Meat is of low standard. Vegetables and fruit, rotten have to look through packs to find something edible. If you are desperate, good place to get some food. Worthwhile a visit as some good specials.

Roaches on top of the counter by the food prep,not the best spar in terms of fresh fruit and vegetables.A thing or two could be learnt from the Stoneridge branch or Edenglen

Worse service ever. Kitchen is always filthy except when Mamzo is there. When you ask them to atleast tidy up the place before serving you the food, they give you attitude.

The reason for 4* is because u can go there while u want to buy meat in bulk as long that dark guy like me is unavailable forget that u will be saved what u want. Is h the only one wu knows to cut meat o some r just lazy to work. Surprisingly the ladies will go grab the black trays in the fridge and say atleast wat i counted its for R600 which I hate mostly thats y I go for bulk buying n have my small cooler. The butchery needs ppl wu want to work not a lazy person....anyway I love ur shop guys it's affordable

Listen, the specials on fruits and veggies were nice, but the quality of the produce is shady. As much as low prices are great, quality would be equally just as great. We had wanted to get cooked full chicken, but it looked overly spiced like. It's a suburban spaza shop. It was adjoined to a Tops, as Spars are known to do, and that seemed okay from outside because I did not go into the Tops. What was great was the service from the cashiers and till packer. They did a good job and were so friendly. There was a shortage of smaller trollies, but an abundance of the big ones, mind you the stores layout does not allow for for the big trollies to maneuver around without bumping into other patrons or having to wait. The space is small.

Specials are absolutely amazing, as it is very hard to get healthy items that are affordable elsewhere. But the foods are often mouldy or stale and inedible. But if you spend time looking, you could find things that you can eat within 2 days. Non-fresh items are good on the sales.

Money market ladies can make your patience go from 100 to zero in seconds! Dont know wether its attitude or old age, there is just zero energy from that department

They got crazy special deals every week, especially on fruits and vegetables. Their meat and chicken is halaal certified.
