Machauka Lodge

Machauka lodge is just too beautiful for words. The security was friendly and welcoming, and happy to direct to where I need to go for check-in. The lady who checked me in was friendly and assisted with a great smile and was happy to answer any questions I had. Waiters, top of the range Food, very delicious, mouth-watering, enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, usually when out at lodges, I prefer eating in my room, but the beauty of the place made me have dinner under the night sky with beautiful lighting and calming music, and outdoor breakfast with beautiful views. Room-I was welcomed by Impalas outside my room, a beautiful sight-to-see, inside, it was beautiful, spacious, clean and need. And for the mosquitoes, I was given Doom, which helped a great deal I swear I didn't want to leave , I wish I had booked more days... I'm definitely coming back

I only went to the bar and it was an experience of what living in SA ... particularly the dorps...is. Met my friend and had some beers and food. Good food good beer. Problem was the owner. He pumped up the music to the point where my friend and I couldn't converse. My friend motioned to the server, Simon, to lower the volume. Later the volume went up again and the owner behind the bar....Fat white guy in a pink shirt who was obviously tipsy... was having a jol with his mates. I motioned to Simon to lower the volume. Owner turns to Simon and says" Dis my fokken bar...no"..... pathetic, unprofessional and rude to both Simon and customers.

The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. Lots of storage and cupboard space. A lovely desk space to work at. I enjoyed the view of the pond and the wildlife around. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend a stay at Machauke lodge. Looking forward to my next visit.Rooms: 5/5

Despite the fact that they didn't give me options on what I wanted in my breakfast pack, it is a very cozy and beautiful place to relax and re-energize. The environment is very quiet and very relaxing, you wouldn't think you are right next to the busy road. Their rooms are well looked after. DStv and free Wi-Fi available for guests. Spacious parking, tight security and a beautiful view of the evergreen grass and wildlife in the vicinity

Great place and the set up is good. No need to drive out for food or drinks all is available at the place. Good food and great selection of wine.Rooms: 4/5

Great lodge and awesome restaurant! Went for dinner and had an amazing time, the service was great and the food was amazing, definitely no complaints at all. Friendly staff and comfortable dining area with great views, our waiter at the time was Fanie, he dit an amazing job.

An amazing experience to stay here BnB. Its amazing that the antelopes walk between the room, not disrupting the peace at all. Amazing dam to relax next to and watch the sunset. There is a small pool area to cool down in the warmer months. Thank you to Bernard for assisting me so well with the breakfast in the morning. Studio room is very spacious and luxurious. The only the factor that i didnt enjoy was a stagnent water smell that seeped across late evening. They have backup power as loadshedding just hit, within 2 minutes the power was restored again. I really enjoy my visit every time i visit here. Keep up the great work!
