The officers at the Evaton police station are extremely incompetent, the officer taking our statement could hardly read or write and took over an hour to fill out a short form. They abuse their authority by reprimanding civilians for irrelevant tasks such as standing instead of sitting or for 2 people giving a statement where there is a language barrier between the officer and the victim. They do not practice social distancing whatsoever and have no regard for sanitising or any other Covid protocol, masks are worn under their chin which serves absolutely no purpose and there is just a general lack of care for themselves and the public. This is absolutely pathetic considering they should be the ones setting the example, if these are the people responsible for our safety in this country then we might as well just give up now. Sort this rubbish out for the sake of the people in this country.
I so disappointed of the service I got from the police station. We opened a case against someone for assault and damage of private property and apparently the person was released withe the bail of R1000 and no one cared enough to let us know about the bail or bail conditions. I have tried to call the number they used to send me the case number without any luck, even the 4 numbers on their website rings without any answer. Now with the plaintiff roaming around in the streets as is nothing happened, can someone at least care to tell me who will replace my car windscreen and the bonnet???? Is it right for the person to be released on bail without any court appearance and for the victim not to be notified?
the service is very poor especially the sector police they would tell you to hold then drop the call or transfer you from one person to another.when you try to phone back they will drop the call i am very disappointed. one police woman told me they will not help me because they do not want to
The area is really function but the infrastructure is not in a great condition it could use renovation, but serve well most of the times, but they abandoned cases out of the blue.
