We took our Family from Holland to have coffee and cake. we ordered Apple pie, lemon meringue which was very nice.we also ordered waffle and ice cream that was not at all very appetizing. The waffle was dry and hardly any icecream. No syrup was offered. Service not great, place looks great but was over all it feels like atmosphere has been lost
Stopped by with the kids to enjoy a famous pie. Landed up getting a steak egg and chips instead, this was a great choice.... was a served a ice cold Super bock draft on a hot day.... kids loved playing in the kids play area, painting pottery and feeding the fish and geese. And finally took home a tasty pie.Food: 5/5
Been here many years ago and wanted to take the family to visit on the way back from the Lion Park. Bought pies as that seems to be the signature dish here. People brag about the pies but to be honest we were not impressed, could have been the expectation. Most of the stuff are over priced and for that reason do not have prices on them. You have to ask for prices as you do not want a surprise when paying. May be a chilled spot to hang out but won't be back.
Popped in for a take-away cappuccino and it was really delicious. Good quick service and friendly people. The inside has been refurbished, and it looks greatFood: 3/5
The tasty pies haven't changed from years ago when I first visited. Their apple pie is baked fresh daily. We ordered it served with fresh cream. The serving was generous, I enjoyed every bite. I assure that you won't regret it.
Thank you to Zama and her team. This is our go to spot on special occassions. We are always treated with love , open hearts and smiles. The food is delicous, the cappuccinos excellent and the service is phenominal. Thank you once again for a special day. Happy father's day.Food: 5/5
Tranquility at its best just outside the busy city. The chicken and mushroom pie was divine. Definitely worth a visit with the family again and will be sure to try out a dessert the next time out. Safe for Kids as well with abseiling!Food: 5/5
As everyone says, the pie is amazing and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and incredibly helpful. It's a great pitstop with a wonderful view and relaxing spots to eat. There are places to browse and shop. Ps, the bathrooms are clean and well mainly.
The peace and quite was sublime. Staff were awesome. Service was excellent. Food ordered was hot and delicious. Menu has a good selection 9f foods and drink to chose from and prices were moderate. We had an awesome time and will definitely go again.Food: 5/5
I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Maggie's Pies in Lanseria, and I feel compelled to share my one-star review. The service provided at this establishment was beyond abysmal. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the staff had no idea what was happening in the kitchen and what items were available. Initially, we ordered their renowned steak pie, which they claimed to be famous for. However, to our dismay, they didn't even have it in stock. Disappointed but willing to give them another chance, we settled for the chicken and mushroom pie. After waiting for what felt like an eternity, approximately 20 minutes, our server returned to inform us that they had run out of those pies as well. This left us wondering where the rest of our order was. To make matters worse, two members of our group had ordered wings and chicken strips. Despite the extended waiting time, none of our food arrived. We waited for a total of 50 minutes to an hour, and yet we were still left without any sustenance. Frustrated and famished, we decided to cut our losses and requested the bill. That's when the shocking news came. Throughout this whole ordeal, the manager displayed a complete lack of empathy and understanding. When we expressed our dissatisfaction and pointed out the injustice of deducting from our server's salary, the manager responded dismissively and offered a paltry 10% discount instead. This token gesture does not come close to rectifying the situation or compensating for the time and effort we wasted. The waiter, seemingly unaware of the chaos surrounding our order, brought us the bill and informed us that we only had to pay for the drinks. However, the rest of the amount would be deducted from her salary. This revelation left us utterly appalled. As a family of seven, the deducted amount would be significant. It is outrageous that management would even consider such an unjust practice, especially when the fault lay entirely with the kitchen and not our server. It is inconceivable that the management would resort to such nonsense, punishing an innocent staff member who had no part in the order going wrong. Deducting from someone's salary for the kitchen's mistakes is not only unethical but also displays a severe lack of professionalism and responsibility on the part of the management. In conclusion, my experience at Maggie's Pies was marred by incompetence, poor communication, and the shocking decision by management to deduct the cost of their mistakes from an innocent employee's salary. I strongly discourage anyone, especially families, from visiting this establishment. Choose a different eatery in Lanseria that values its customers and treats its staff fairly.
