on the 3rd of Dec we had to pick our church groceries our Rector was in contact whole week with the management. there was emails to and back. we got there at 3 o'clock they kept standing in the passage m from 3pm to 5pm all the people who were suppose to help us seemed lost they kept disappearing for long time. until we spoke to their manager Mr. Siwisa. who got the problem sorted quickly and this was a big order R 15 000.00 I WAS VERY DISAPOINTED WITH THEIR SERVICE
Totally exceeded my expectations. Placed an order on Friday afternoon. On Saturday morning I received a phone call from a real live person unheard of these days to say they could deliver that afternoon. Received my order 24 hours after placing it and I’m based in an outlying area 115kms from the store. Unbelievable Makro. Thank you!
Appalling service. I have never experienced such poor service in all my years. I ordered a stove and was told 1-3 days delivery. It's now almost 10 days since I placed the order. I got an SMS during the week to say out for delivery, I made plans to stay home and receive the stove and nobody showed up. I have sent emails to both Makro and their delivery partner DSV and just get ignored. I will now be lodging a complaint with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombudsman to take this further for theft.
My wife bought the last microwave they had of a specific Defy model. 3 days later it broke, it didn't warm anything up. We went back for an exchange, hoping to get store credit so we can purchase a new microwave. They are supposed to have a 14 day exchange/refund policy. They told us that because the item has been used and broke it can't be refunded/exchanged. We now need to wait for up to 6 weeks for Defy to look at the microwave and see if it can be fixed.
Wow Wow Wow, i had to phone 3times BUT the gentlemen that helped me was just amazing, it did not take him 5 min to solve my problem regarding a lost receipt/returning an item . I am sorry i didn't get your name but you are amazing and appreciated.
Online orders are a total mess.. my order was first divided by 2.. 1st half came perfect,2nd half not so much, ordered 1st December and still no luck. Apparently item missing is from a 3rd party, not 3rd party it shows on website mind you,they used a different 3rd party that does not even sell or even stock the item and so I am told they are out of stock... Do you think I would have ordered if something was out of stock. And if one calls number I was given by Makro,they do not even know what I am talking about. So please do yourself a favour and rather buy in-store or some place else. Received refund 15 Jan.
Huge store with just about anything you need or want. I found everything from swimming pool products to groceries. A one stop shop with quick service.
The store closes at 5pm on a saturday. I walk into the store to by a new fridge at arround 4:50pm, It took some time to pick the right one and walked out of the store at 5:05pm with the new fridge. To me that was great service tonight. Unfortunately I did not get the names of the lady and gentelmat that assisted me.
New store is looking good with lots more parking than the old Makro.the under cover parking under solar panels is a great idea. Layout is nice, but seems like food stock and toys are a lot less.
