I went the after Black Friday rush around 14h00. The aisles were not congested and queue was moving quickly. My only challenge was a lady who was packing my grocery just piled soft things with hard items. But I like their reasonable prices and some of the staff that are helpful.
Had wonderful friendly service. The gentleman at the returns counter assisted swiftly with issuing a refund credit, the lady at the changing rooms, the cashier, they were all very friendly and helpful with all that I needed. The store was well organised and Service was incredible. There were protests outside, which were very peaceful and didn’t hinder the operations of the store at all. Overall a great experience today.
Drove all the way from Boksburg.Very friendly parking guards, went inside the prices are great, turns out you can only pay if you have a store card went to make the hew cars it did not take time but Madam Flora from customer services was quite rude. Anyway I just brushed it off but I don't think I will be coming back anytime soon.
As the years have gone on and I have visited and purchased items I have found and today is no exception the store is not what it used to be, the fact that the electronics section is getting smaller and smaller with choice and the fact that your store has dumb rules and policies in that you can not just get what you need from that section go literary across the to a different section which is 3 meters away without told by the security that you can not go into different part of the store without paying for your goods first, then to request the manger of security, for the security team not been helpful to call the manger. At this point I find it way to go to online stores and get what I need and there is 150% better choice and way less issues. At this point if the management does not fix the problem making the public more effort to get rid of dumb policy's and get better section of stock in, your store is going to go the same way that many other stores are going, less people shopping at the store and the store will end up been closed. Time to fix and sort your store out.
Mpho is indeed in the right position at this store! But I do hope the returns staff and manager gets better training. A company is not measured in never making a mistake, it’s measured in HOW they can make there mistake right.
Your staff is protesting today across the main road Herman Street and stopping/turning away vehicles that are not even going to the store. Protected/Unprotected .... Whatever.... your staff now pose a safety risk to the general public .......
I have handed in my Candy Washing machine due to digital malfunctions in November 2022. I have not received any correspondence from Makro since dropping it off. Two months with no correspondence is absolutely terrible customer service. Calling does not help, they just take your details and never get back to you.
Ordered items from the online store 65 DAYS AGO. One was delivered to the wrong address, an error on their part. I have to this day not received this product nor a refund after continuously following up. Their service is beyond pathetic and I will recommend everyone to never order something from them if it is from their store. Their 3rd party suppliers were however great.
Went this morning to purchase a fridge. There was no-one with knowledge of fridges. Had to wait for an hour, just to be assisted by a disinterested young man, who had an attitude about the delivery charges. Left the fridge and went to Hirches where we got much better service. NEVER GOING TO MAKRO AGAIN. So dissapointed after we came all the way from Boksburg.
Your store states opens at 8am, I rush in to get 3 things but no till open. If your employees are not ready, dont open at your mentiond time. Had to wait over 15 minutes for the tills to boot up.
