Convenient well situated in CBD area. I love the fact that they have fresh flowers everyday. So if you're making a quick dash to visit a friend or loved one you can always grab a bouquet at an affordable price - less than R100
Vey bad service and bad attitude from the employees overall and they are always out of stock on a lot of items it’s an inconvenience store most people now opt for the mini spar at the garage wich is a few meters away
Poor spar food is off and need a heath inspector lak off goods over price I just bought 10 hot chips and it's like 5 chips pleade close down
The breakfast is good, with a few options and decent prices. This serves mainly the residents of the John Ross building and employees of the many businesses surrounding the harbor. The actual quality of fresh produce and perishables is low. Bread and similar products can be found on shelf past due dates and changing colour, as is with fruits and veg. The service at the food counter is usually of an okay-ish standard, just expect to wait in a queue... espicially if you're on break, it may take a good 15 to 20 minutes to get served. Usually just 2 or 3 staff and many people waiting, if you're sticking to your break times try to get away earlier. Cashiers generally are exhausted or annoyed, so dont expect a formal greeting. Withdrawal of cash here is difficult as nobody tries to assist and it's usually, " I don't have." I've actually rejoined the queue and gone to each cashier requesting a withdrawal, its normally the same and nobody considers engaging the manager, unless you ask. If you ask, you're looked at like you're a pain in the side of spar. Rather grab what you need and get going, asking for anything more is pushing it here.
Accessible, clean, usually busy but convenient. Shelves are restocked at a decent rate unless it's a high demand food item then you need to make sure you come in before it's gone. The prices are a bit more than your local grocery shop due to this being a convenience store, but nothing ridiculous. All in all a decent convenience store.
Today I was very disappointed, I support this spar everyday and to be treated the way the staff treated me today just shows that this spar does not care about their customers. I know it will make no difference to them loosing me as a customer but I will not support them again, I'll take my business somewhere where you will get great customer service. Spoilt my whole day
Clean and very convenient for quick and last minute shopping items. Staff is very polite and helpful. Don't expect to find loads of parking but you won't wait long for a parking space.
It's an okay quick shop to grab and go. But the stuff are somewhat rude and unaccommodating
Way too expensive due to lack of competition. Only two out of ten staff are friendly and likeable. Perishables are not very trustworthy.
Great service. The staff members are kind and patient
