I wanted to upgrade my old laptop to Windows 11 and bought the disc. They never bothered to ask me how old my machine was and on trying to install it my machine was too old. So R2,300 down the drain.

Small outlet. Staff unable to give technical details on products in store. Had to Google to get the information required on a printer we wanted to buy.

Sales person tried to convince me that I need a male VGA plug when I actually needed a female, and no matter how much I tried to explain this to her, she kept insisting that I needed a male

It's a dead shop. No stock of anything. There was only a few items laying on empty shelves. Don't waste your time.

Phoned this morning to ask if they have stock of an item advertised at R124. Yes we have 3 in stock. Great. I ask them keep 1 for me. I am working until 3h00 then I will come through to come buy it. Perfect no problem. Get there this afternoon. They sold the item to someone else. But here is a more expensive one for R149. Yes its only R25 more but now I have used airtime to phone them to check if they have the item in stock. Now drove out petrol to the store. Paid for parking at the mall. Only to now have to pay R25 more. Phone head office and all they can do is for me to now drive back to the same store. Pay for parking again and this to pay R169 for an item they advertised for R124. Or they can now get the item I phoned for this morning in stock again tomorrow so then I have to drive back again tomorrow for the same item.

The staff was fairly friendly but didn't seem like they were in the mood to do any work. When I went there they took over 1.5 hours to only do something that could've taken 15 minutes. As per always matrix is overpriced for most of their items but it made more sense to drive to a shop near me rather than driving to the middle of Pretoria to get the item I needed.. Other computer shops like evetech, titan ice and computers only are generally cheaper and have better quality stock and the staff seems to be more efficient and helpful. But in a pinch it wouldn't be so much of a problem to go to this specific store
