I would like to give a shoutout to Maui Camper Hire SA. After doing extensive research into how we would do this year's Kruger trip we opted for something different, a 4-sleeper Mercedes Benz campervan. It was the best decision we could have made. What fantastic service we received from Maui Camper Hire SA in Cape Town and the vehicle was fantastic in the park, a really easy vehicle to drive, automatic, smooth gear changes, lots of torque, fully equipped with everything we needed. No tenting, no packing out stuff in the evenings and no packing up stuff in the mornings, just a foldup table and two camp chairs, we first at the gate most mornings. We braaid most nights but did also cook on the inside gas stove. The van is equipped with aircon, LED lights, fan, a shower and toilet but we used the really nice clean ablutions in the SANParks - Kruger National Park. The van is so high we could easily see over the grass growing on the side of the roads and in fact over the top of the other vehicles, anyone been to Kruger knows how valuable this is, and the huge front windscreen is just great. We had a really good experience, both from Maui Camper Hire SA and SANParks - Kruger National Park and can highly recommend this as your next way to see the Kruger National Park - The Best Of Kruger
There is no other campervan service I will choose going forward. I am glad I made the right decision! Maui was so smooth to collect, drop off and deal with. Duncan and his team are just amazing, attentive and friendly. What else can you ask for? I can’t wait to come back to CT and will be definitively look for campervan from Maui. Thank you!!
Each year we bring a group of 30 overseas guests to South Africa for a month long camper tour. Thanks again to the team at Maui for helping make this such a memorable tour each year. Looking forward to renting again in 2024.

We spent a lovely New Year journey with Maui motorhome Iveco! On the last day of our trip, there was a small incident and the managers of the company quickly helped me in the situation. Do not forget to purchase a Super cover!
Had great service from the team in Cape Town. And I want to mention 2 names, Duncan and Keenon. From the time I collected the motorhome till the time I brought it back they were very friendly and helpful. Especially after getting stuck in the Karoo with the flooding they supported me all the way. The motorhome itself was a great experience. From aircon to layout and amenities, we had a fun experinece and will for sure do this again.
Maui gave us an outstanding campervan which drive like a luxury car. Friendly people over there who really make you feel welcome at their business. Professional organisation
I am such a fan of this company. From start to finish the service was excellent friendly and super efficient. The car itself was the absolute highlight of our Namibian trip. I will never ever travel in Southern Africa in any other way ever again. Best best time of my life.
What an incredible experience renting from Maui Cape Town. The service was impeccable from collection to return. We rented the 6 sleeper for our family for the Trans Agulhus Race to allow for a smooth transition between the 4 different race sections and to avoid packing up and getting kids on the road by 6am for each transition. With this 6 sleeper it was an absolute winner!!! Thanks for the great service received from Duncan, Mohammed, Keanan and I thinks it's Gaironisa. We'll see you soon again !!!
Unfortunately, this is a mixed review. The service and staff were excellent — from booking with Ipeleng to check-in with Keenan and Aiden, through all the times I had to contact Keenan during our trip. Great, responsive, caring 5-star team. But we shouldn't have needed to make so much contact — the camper van was very old, cheap, and in bad shape 2-star vehicle. The fridge only worked part of the time and had a horrible smell that ruined food. The diesel smell from the engine was so strong we couldn't drive with windows down. The main battery kept dying when we tried to start it. The fuses kept blowing so the heater didn't work. Blinds and shades were ripped and hard to attach. Tables were tough to get up and down after converting to beds. Shower hose didn't come out. Etc, etc, etc. Very disappointed in the quality of the vehicle. Upon return, one staff member said, "Yes, we're slowly replacing these with new Mercedes models." So until then, be forewarned about booking. Try Bobo Campers instead *or* insist on a newer model.
