Thank you for slamming the door in my face last night at exactly 7pm when I arrived with 2nd degree burns looking for dressings and ointment - having phoned ahead. You are very unkind.
Outstanding people at Mays pharmacy!, would recommend!!, i had an emergency and they tended to me almost as soon as i arrived, professional, capable and kind.keep.up the great work...i must mention the nurse they have just outstanding care
Best pharmacy ever. Always willing to go the extra mile to help. Great staff. Love Melville. Love May's.
You really need to teach your bike drives how to drive I have almost crash into them twice this week. I'm also on a bike but that does not give them the right to drive up to me and cut me off and then get aggressive with me when I call them out. It's not like they are rushing to save a person's life.
I ordered 2 items online, payment was taken from my account and when I called to collect I was told the item had been discontinued a few years ago. Really?
Pharmacists are amazing. Nice to have 'local' pharmacists that know you. Honestly, rating is based on how ugly and cold the store has become. Hate the fact the glass has been covered and it seems like some of the older staff are no longer there. Why the hell are the shelves so bloody high? Whoever designed this clearly doesn't know what they are doing. Warmth has left it.
I love coming to this pharmacy, but when u call to have you meds delivered, the lady pharmacist didn't even get her name is rude and very short. She cuts u off and rushes u off the call. You must never forget, that the telephone call is also a comms touchpoint that requires the same level of service as ur walk-ins. We are paying for our meds, your aren't giving it to us for free. Please spare the rudeness
I have waited 4 and a half hours for my Covid medication to be delivered 40m. When trying to find where the miscommunication happened I was blamed by another female pharmacist, told me that no prescription had been issued until 16:00 and that I need to contact the drive my self all while being extremely short and rude with me. It seems that most of the complaints are due to the women, perhaps it's time for a new career path for her because Mays Chemists service is normally amazingly good.
Open late, and certain people there are friendly but the change in ownership seems to have come with certain issues. The owner felt he did not need to wear a mask during COVID and they often do not display pricing.
Not welcoming and just plain ongeskik. Initially the pharmacist made it seem like assisting me was a complete inconvenience. She dismissed my request for an OTC medice without checking her system first to see if she could give it to me she definitely could. She then vanished without saying anything for quite a while it later became clear that she had gone to the back to mix the medication - she didn't say this. She eventually asked the Sister on duty to assist with the payment while she was still in the back. While processing my order earlier, the pharmacist didn't ask my preferred method of payment - then they were extremely annoyed by the method of payment I wanted to use I'm serious. The Sister was incredibly rude and patronizing. The pharmacists were defensive and unprofessional in assisting with getting details for a formal complaint. Instead of taking any accountability, they tried to shift the burden of guilt onto us when we literally did nothing wrong except stand up for ourselves against what was inexcusable service. I don't believe they would have tolerated the service we received from them from anyone else, anywhere else. Perhaps we are just not their preferred clientele, maybe we needed to speak Afrikaans, maybe we should have googled a guide to visiting May's so we wouldn't annoy them by not instinctually knowing how they prefer to operate. I have been to May's Chemist a few times over my 6 years of living and running a business in the area, one of those times I had taken my son and was so unimpressed I promised myself not to go back. I can recall only one visit where I felt good about the assistance and pharmacist, but last night was the last time I'll go there because their onbeskof behavior screamed "We don't want or need your business here!" They offer late trading hours and the old community feel which I love, however, that's not nearly enough in comparison to the professional assistance I have consistently received from the Clicks and Dischem up the road.
