Youth soccer development in progress, just wondering the roles of The Ministry of Sports SA's involvement or contibution...
Same old grounds with no improved facilities...municipality makes no investments in these to attract youth participation in sporting events...and the youth migrate and wander to drugs...no wonder!
Sports ground, lots of fun. Interacting with different people and personalities. Very entertaining
What should be a top notch venue is just another run down failure. The grass on the softball field was long and hasn't been mowed in a long time. The diamond at least was level. The 2 bowling greens can't be seen as such anymore. Weeds and hard grasses have taken over what once was a manicured green. Only the soccer field was in a state of much use and it seemed to be kept to a certain degree.
I loved it it was a good thing for me to do
Remind me of my days as Base 1 player later pitcher.
The sports complex is user friendly, however there is a need for maintenance is some sporting fields
The hall.is huge n perfect for events but female toilets we leaking n shoes n dresses would get wet n no bins for female hygiene products
The Center is beautiful and well kept. I was here on a Saturday for a soccer match. The pitch is artificial and very bad. When we left at 14h00 all the toilets were locked.
I was at the Mbolekwa Sports Complex. At the softball "Diamond " stadium, in particular. The SA women 's national softball team was playing against Botswana, Lesotho and another. A beautiful weekend. Very interesting and entertaining games. The pitch was good. The safety fence around the pitch was reassuring for us fans. The night time lights were brilliant. However, the concrete stands that used to provide us with an organised sitting arrangement have been removed. They have been replaced with NOTHING.
