MBHOA VISION
1. Meerenbosch will develop into a sought after and exclusive holiday resort, enclosed by a nature reserve and part of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve.
2. There will be a strong emphasis on nature conservation within Meerenbosch as well as towards the adjacent land including the Botriver estuary. Meerenbosch will support the effort to get international recognition for the Botriver estuary in terms of the Ramsar Convention.
3. The three biggest assets of Meerenbosch are recognised as its proximity to the Botriver estuary (the lake), the abundance of indigenous trees (the bush) and the unique wooden houses (the cottages). Together, these three assets provide a special atmosphere, character, uniqueness and natural beauty to Meerenbosch that must be managed and marketed to the long-term benefit of
4. shareholders.
5. It is foreseen that eventually all plots in Meerenbosch will be developed with wooden houses erected as prescribed in the building regulations. No further enlargement of houses is foreseen in order to preserve the unique character and atmosphere of Meerenbosch.
6. Meerenbosch will be financially sound and responsible financial principles will be applied in its financial management.
7. Shareholders will live harmoniously with each other, respect each other privacy and abide by the rules of conduct.
8. Meerenbosch will be affiliated to the Middlevlei Home Owners Association and will contribute positively towards the utilisation, maintenance and possible further development of common recreational facilities, in as far as the vision and unique character of Meerenbosch are adhered to.
9. It is foreseen, as this envisaged mature state of development is achieved, that Meerenbosch can move from a Share block Company to a private township with an elected management committee and own-title for owners.
