They were 4 hours late. One couch struggled to fit through the door. They just said its not going to fit. Did a half attempt to get it in, then said no, it wont fit. I asked them to wait so I can make a plan, and they said they cant wait and all just moved back to the moving van. Then I asked them that they might have to help moving the couch down the 3 flights of stairs and they wouldn't do it. Ended up telling them to just leave since they were in a hurry even after making us wait for them for 4 hours. I called a friend, and it took the two of us less than 5 minutes to get the couch in the flat. 4 of the movers couldn’t t do it. I feel this was just because they were lazy and reluctant to help. I will not recommend their service. The reason for two stars is because they load fast, and nothing broke.

Moving to a new province is always daunting. We were overwhelmed with how many moving companies there were to choose from, so I ended up taking a suggestion from a fellow South African redditor and got in contact with Mega Shift Logistics. From the start, I dealt with a chap from the Johannesburg branch, Emmanuel. He was extremely helpful from the get-go and showed impressive attention to detail throughout the entire process. We had many telephonic conversations to get our respective inventory list's matched up perfectly, and he made us feel very calm and secure that everything would work out with our furniture collection and delivery, which it duly did. They were also very accommodating with our stuff, happily storing it at their Cape Town branch until we had access to our new apartment. Overall, Mega Shift, Emmanuel, and the team superceded our expectations and delivered impeccable service from start to finish. I highly recommend using them for any furniture removal within South Africa, big or small. Thank you, Mega Shift, we are set up and ready to enjoy our new beach front apartment thanks to your professional and caring service.

I recently relocated from PE to Soweto and used Megashift for the move, they accommodated all my requests and received great service from the pick-up to the delivery of my stuff. All my belongings were delivered and intact, nothing damaged. Both the office contact and the driver were helpful and communicated well with me. A huge thank you to ManoloEmanuel and Tino, they did a great job.

I regret choosing Megashift, bad decision ever. I relocated from Durban on the 6th of June 2023 and today is the 12th and I still don't have my stuff. Thamsanqa didn't explained to me that I won't have my stuff the same day I relocated. I was then informed by the same guy that a truck will leave from Johannesburg on the 8th and I will get my stuff on the 9th of June. When I called at about 09:33 on the 9th to ask about my stuff I was told that the truck will leave at 11am from Durban to Johannesburg, I phoned again at about 18:36 to get an ETA I was informed that the truck will first deliver in Newcastle and then I will get my stuff on the 10th. None of this was explained to me when I called that morning. On the 10th I could not receive my stuff because I've already made plans to go away that I could not cancel because I was told that I will receive my stuff on the 9th. I asked for my stuff to be delivered today in the morning and the guy said no problem it can be arranged and I will receive my stuff in the morning of the 11th. I still didn't receive my stuff, when I called the guy again he said the driver is not picking up and he complained about using his own airtime calling the guys and he said is off but what about my stuff? I really do regret choosing Megashift bad experience ever. I'm so upset right now and I feel like I was made a fool of.

I recently used their services as I was relocating from Cape Town and required storage too for a short while. There’s a Caleb Chinyengura who was assisting me and did not send me an inventory list, I was basically quoted on a phone call and I mentioned that some of the things I wasn’t sure as I was still packing; Caleb though assured me that it was fine. After they received my goods they wanted more money as there were goods which were not “declared” these are a few plastics by the way. After all of that, I was subjected to being ignored when I wanted my goods delivered and this continued after it was delivered when I wanted my refundable deposit back. This Caleb ignored emails and never called back each time he promised to call back. He shouted at me on the phone too. Please find an alternative if you can, they’re not worth the trouble. Also, if you happen to use their services, at least don’t work with that disrespectful Caleb!

Very unhappy with the service received. Leg of one of my couches was broken and left dents and scratches on some furniture items. I would not recommend this company.

From the moment i received Mega Shift Logistics contacts from Moving 24 and the moment they actually contacted me which was 2 minutes later , through to the fee negotiations it was a wonderful experience. The pick-up with their team of 3 guys led by Caleb with the constant support of Emmanuel in the office who was my contact agent, i was truly impressed by their prompt arrival at the storage facility. Being a woman alone manning this move meant that the storage items were not pre arranged near the door, they made the process easy. Friendly and professional stuff all round, eager and willing to assist . Moving is an emotional process and they made it all easy. Getting a message from my sister saying my son said " the uncles brought my spiderman bike, my mum will be happy", my heart is full of joy. I highly recommend them and am greatful to the reviewers who gave their reviews and assisted me to finalise the deal.

Very accommodating with challenges brought on by the location of our new home. Driver and assistants were awesome, friendly, helpful and very respectful of our goods. The team had to work extra hard to get two home worth of goods into one home, in a remote location, high on stilts and nothing deterred them. Well Done Megashift!! Never seen such poor service, they r good before u pay after that no sense of good customer service or whatsoever. My staff picked up late Sunday, next Sunday no delivery or communication. Today is Tuesday still no delivery, I contact them they say they will only deliver Thursday. Savanahg who who is supposed to deal with my delivery not bothered to even call. Thanks to Chloe who atleast took my call, the one star is for her otherwise bad bad bad

The services was excellent thank you to Emmanuel. He communicated throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend MegaShifts if you are moving.
