I made a spa reservation for 3 & was asked to pay a 50% deposit within 24 hours to secure my booking. I gladly did this. The terms and conditions state that this is 100% refundable if canceled before 24 hours notice. Due to change of plans I had to cancel, over a month in advance. It is now going on 3 weeks without my refund. I have sent numerous chasing emails, unanswered. Phoned and told the issue would be resolved. Wishy washy emails saying it's in process and again no replies to my follow up emails saying when! This is absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. Resorting to writing reviews to get a response! This is meant to be a premium estate. I wouldn't expect this kind of behavior. Totally disrespectful and unprofessional
We received a voucher from family for the Steenberg Spa. While I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, my husband found his experience average.
Recently, I have had to deal with incompetence and back and forth from steenberg spa. Whilst their treatments may be overpriced, their finance systems are equally in disarray. I made a payment that they could not find, after the receptionist sent me details of the account that I should pay into. This affected me as i could not receive my spa treatment and this was something I needed for my body to heal. The service is not great when it comes to trying to understand a client.
We went for a couple's full body massage. It was amazing. Will definitely be back!
Just had an INCREDIBLE morning at your spa!!! Kashiefa was my therapist and she honestly changed my life - she is blessed with healing hands and I walked out of there feeling like a new person. The venue is neat and smells amazing. The staff are warm and friendly. Honestly my best spa experience to date. When I revisit Cape Town in the future, I will definitely be reserving a day at your spa.
My friend and I came to the spa, my boyfriend had given us vouchers for two 75 minute massages for the value of R940 each, the receptionist was not welcoming and friendly at all and it felt very unprofessional for a top tier spa. We both felt very uncomfortable. The massage therapists were good, however the massage was just under 60 minutes, leaving us with R90 on our vouchers, which is pretty useless and not what we had booked for.
I have visited Steenberg Spa twice in one month now. The first was a spa package, the therapist was good but the atmosphere was very noisy. I could constantly hear construction trucks and people talking very loud in the parking lotthe treatment rooms are right next to it. Second time was for a wax. I've never had so many unwaxed patches nor residue wax on my body before. In addition I was charged for hand wax above the arm wax usually it's included. Regardless the strip wax was to cold and constantly pulled my skin - which is extremely sore. I'm quite used to wax, but having the skin ripped off your fingers is a big no no.
The whole experience was extraordinary, the therapists were insanely good and the service was amazing, it is expensive but defenitly worth the money.

Hardie Property highly recommends the spa at Steenberg Farm. How have we not been before? After a tough week, we went for a couples head massage, only 45 minutes and it was so relaxing. They have a great menu which we will return to. Super friendly staff and a really luxurious and tranquil setting.
