MoiMooi ~ a big No No. Please don’t make the same mistake I made and be heavily out of pocket. I will be the precautionary tale, so that others don’t go through what I had to go through. In theory their subscription service / membership is great. You pay a monthly fee and get credits to use on different treatments. I have been a member for years, and also signed my Mom up. Being a client for years and having more than two memberships means absolutely nothing to them. The treatments are great and the therapists marvellous. But, you will always have some or other drama with your account. To avoid the regularly account fights, I signed up for their promotion to pay up front for the year, in that way avoiding the issue of having to deal with the admin side of things for a year. Unfortunately, a month after paying for the new promotion, my account was incorrectly debited with the normal monthly fee. When I queried this, I was first informed that it would be reimbursed after 60 to 90 days. Then I was told that it was actually to make up for all the savings I had received over the years. I was told that I can cancel my membership, but would not receive the balance due back to me even though I had only used three of the 12 months I had signed up for. Unfortunately, I am unable to support a business whose values don’t resonate with mine, so have had to take the financial knock.
For anyone interested in signing up with Moimooi, please DO NOT! STAY AWAY! It has been an awful experience time and again. Unfortunately I have no way out, as I settled payment in advance and they do not want to give me a refund. It is forever a struggle to get responses and make bookings. I got burned during a facial, therapists are on their phones while treating you, and my nails started peeling a week after getting a manicure. Some of the therapists are kind and pleasant, but unfortunately the customer care and product quality of the products are horrendous. The only service I have had that is partially alright is the waxing, yet they often do not have all the kinds of wax they need. The colour therapy machine is still unavailable since June, and as such available 5 treatments are becoming useless with little to select from. They took my money and now could not care less about the service or customer care they deliver. A massive regret from my side.Services: Waxing
They like to trick and haste you into renewing your contract. Once you need a refund or any other services they just go AWOL on you,never get hold of them. I paid for a previous contract in October last year in order to start treatment in November,as agreed by Diann Summerton. Now they tell me my contract ended on 22 October this year without receiving my treatments owed during October last year.Services: Manicure
I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are just there for taking your money. I joined in September 2022 and cancelled my membership the next month. I received a confirmation email from them and I still had to pay the yearly admin fee in December. End of December they still deducted my monthly fee. Guess the only way to stop them is to open a case of theft or fraud.
I was called this morning by a lady to pay another R499. Bear in mind I have paid now a R700 already. So now they have gotten a R1200 from for nothing. Such a rip off. Will not recommend this place to anyone. Please if they call listen to the Terms and Conditions. Disgusted. If I could give zero stars I would.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!! The most unfriendly staff who welcome you that are more interested in buying fritos and chooclate than tending to their clients. We were booked for a 2:00pm appointment and got told they short staffed we must wait 45mins before we can have our treatment done, No apologies or solutions.
Staff so not happy and always a mission to make a booking. You only allowed 2 services per person per day. That's all I'm saying if I had to carry on I think I might get cramps in my fingers ‍
......This is an amazing place we’re we visit at least four times a month! The staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable with whatever they have to administer! But the booking system needs lots of attention as the on-line booking is most times not very user-friend-lii, you can almost never get available dates also my wife always says “They need to stock-up with more colourful gels” for the nails which they never real-lii have then she must just take what is there! Otherwise we love our twice a month Aromatherapy sessions.......
Massage was lovely, but unfortunately they made us wait half hour, and cut our massages short by 15 min
