I cannot recommend Dr Wiswedel enough! Super chilled, straight to the point and never been so comfortable doing a IUI and it was my first time haha :- The receptionist was amazing, very welcoming and funny which made us really comfortable. Now just the wait :-
Initially, we had set up the appointment online, and after weeks of no feedback, I then called to set an appointment. We were told that the facility is private and costs for the consultation must be paid in cash on the day of our appointment. My wife managed to get her medical aid to cover the consult and when we advised of this, it seemed to now be an issue, because they would need to log that claim. Further on, they then rescheduled our appointment after advising us the doctor was no longer available for our confirmed appointment. This was then set to take place the next month, and my wife then had to shift her leave. Following that, a few days before our set appointment, we get emailed again, advising that our appointment needs to be shifted again. I called and explained probably thrice to the accounts manager that we cannot shift our appointment, and that it needs to be on that day we agreed on or a Saturday. They then eventually come back to us stating that it's on a Saturday after. At this stage, we were so uncomfortable and disgusted by the service already, then to top it off, the nurse that is supposed to be our co-ordinator and make sure our service and process with them is smooth, emails us advising she had no idea what was happening. HOW?? We are literally expected to pay thousands for you guys to provide us with a service, yet nobody knows whats happening and nobody is communicating internally. I would not recommend at all. Wife and I cancelled everything with them before we started. If they cannot get a simple appointment date correct and suited to our availability and need, how can we rely on them for anything else.
I am writing this not out of anger, but purely because I wouldn't want anyone to feel the way we are feeling because of the manner in which Hart treated us. We were initially impressed by Jacqui's friendly manner and helpfulness. When we got there, we were told that if we would've told them, we could have claimed our first appointment from our medical aid. No one told us this before and I'm still wondering how this was our mistake. We got an appointment at Dr Olarogun. In short, he took multiple personal calls during our appointment. As we were uncomfortably sitting there listening how he's making plans for a football match that weekend. When it came to be time for our procedure, he rushed it by putting me on more medication, however, he then could not make the actual procedure. We then got an appointment with Dr Patel, who we knew nothing about. She came late, causing unnecessary stress. After the procedure, the bed were wet and we are left wondering if that's the reason why we had an unsuccessful IUI. I don't think it's normal that the catheter should make a sound as if it's empty, together with a wet bed. There were so many hidden cost as well. We ended up paying around R19 000 for everything. Paying R1500 for a nurse who promised to be there for everything, who were nowhere to be seen on D-day. Paying R500 cash for the lab assistant after she already got R4500 out of us. They also told us an incorrect amount for the sperm delivery. Sadly, after the procedure, they still have not followed up with us. I hope this helps someone else to not make the same mistake that we did. We are using a different fertility clinic for our next try.
Such a lovely first experience with Dr Olarogun. Jacqui is amazing too! 100% would recommend. Everything was made effortless and comfortable :
The way you treat your patients, echoes Iyanla Vanzant`s words "you matter" - Thank you for that. For a person who has lost almost all hope, to matter, creates a new feeling of hope and belief that children can be a reality...and this cannot be expressed in words.
Dr was wonderful but both front line staff and technicians made the experience a nightmare. Very rude and all what matters to them is money. No caring and extremely rude.
All stuff are very friendly I enjoy every moment there
Everyone is so nice.. I enjoyed every visit.. So good.. Nice meeting all of you'll.. God blessed all of you'll..
I always receive a warm welcome from reception and all the doctors and staff are amazing
