Great to differentiate with a unique interior of black and white chessboard-like tiles. The style might not be for everyone, but is unique and has a good atmosphere. I have never been a big fan, but being in a small town in Limpopo it was good to give it a try. Luckily they had great specials of rump steak and ribs. Well price and great value for money. Love the sizzling hot plates for steak and they did it too perfection. Medium rare and one well done. Spinach is great. It is spinach you can taste with bit of cream, not cream with bit of spinach. The pap was cooked well. Service was efficient, even at closing time. Music was horrible and spoil the atmosphere. If you want to go and eat at a nightclub, then I will go there. Not in a "family restaurant". It is as if the waiters play music for themselves. It spoiled the evening.
Terrible. Asked for T-bone steak, medium rare, no basting. Asked for salt and pepper only and not their sweet basting. They gave us blue meat, with their sweet basting. Hubby and I had diarrhea. Their onions were terrible, soaking in oil and hard, not edible at all. I'm never going there. What a waste of my hard earned money

So when you arrive at Mike's kitchen don't expect to be welcomed by a waiter and get ushered to a table, you will have to do that yourself. After you find a place to seat, you will be calling and hailing for waiters to see you and assist you as no one will approach you to assist you in timely manner. The overall setting is very bland, the tables don't have salt and pepper or sauces, you have to ask for those. The food isn't the most flavourful and you wait for a long time. The waiter servicing us was incredibly rude to us as we were paying for our meal because he felt under tipped, we didn't even see the need to tip based on the service we experienced at this place, but still included R10 tip which displeased him. You don't demand tips when you offer poor service to customers, he was appalling and based on that experience we had, I would never return to this Restaurant or encourage anyone to come and eat at this place
we were passing the mall and we wanted to grab something to eat quickly. We went to Mike's Kitchen and ended up being there for 3hours which was way longer that we planned and not because they were slow but we were enjoying every moment of being there. We were served with delicious food and the other reason was the covid rules were observed. I won't hesitate next time when I'm in Makhado to visit again, the friendly staff and 5star service says it all. Mix grill was a blast

The best steak I have eaten in a while. My steak was prepared by the chef just exactly how I wanted it. Staff and management was very friendly and always checked up if we needed anything else. Highly recommend Mike's kitchen louis Trichard for a meal if you are in the area. I had the african poppers which were tasty. Birthday deal steak which was good value for money however i guess you get what you pay for and the steak was very sinewy. Waiter was great.

Bad service one of the guy who was serving me he was so rude and I have oderd long Island the bring me water like the spinach was having rocks yooo I'm so disappointed I use to enjoy doing there when I go home but now no I will rather go to kfc
