We have qualified mechanics at our premises to evaluate and sort out any warranty claims. We have been in business over ten years and sell an average of two hundred engines every month. We also have towing services and can tow in vehicles for fitments at a nominal charge. You can order your engine and gearbox via the web and we will deliver anywhere in Cape Town free of charge, as for deliveries nationwide we will pallet and wrap your product for delivery.

Mikes place opened its doors to the public in August 1999 under the name of Gearbox, Diff and Engine Wholesalers where our main focus was on gearboxes; however after a short while of trading it became clear that there was a big demand for second hand low mileage engines. We now have a fitment centre, a gearbox and diff rebuilding workshop and a large warehouse where we wholesale imported engines and gearboxes direct to the public although we mainly import from Japan we also import from Germany, Korea, Britain and America so we don’t only offer Japanese engines. VW Audi, Opel, Hyundai, Kia, Ford, Volvo, Jeep and Mercedes are just a few of the Non – Japanese engines that we stock.
