The experience was absolutely amazing, and the trails are not that challenging. The tranquility is amazing. You only hear the water running and birds singing. I did 11km, and it was breathtaking
This was a lovely experience overall. The hiking was not challenging at all but the views on the walk were amazing. The Fourways Farmers Market was a special touch.
Did the 11 KM walking route. Fairly easy, no inclines. It was well marked for the most part. The views are serene, but nothing out of the ordinary. The dams are beautiful. Didn't run into any "wild life". May try again for a picnic. The road inside is very poorly maintained, depending on which entrance you used, so you have to drive carefully even with am SUV. Restrooms: There are restrooms when you begin to walk, however none along the walking trail/route.
I come here ALL the time. The atmosphere is awesome for families wanting to picnic or have an impromptu party. Walking trails allow for some nature time and it's all out and rustically beautiful for photo shoots. Playground: Great, the kids love it. Maintained. Restrooms: The second set of restrooms are not the best. Dog-friendliness: No dogs allowed Picnic area: Very nice. Lots of trees, place to sit and also braais to use. But are limited. So consider bringing own braais and chairs along.
Such a lovely reserve for a hike. We did the 5km and it was packed with scenery at a good price! The ticket price includes entrance to the farmer's market too, where they sell the most amazing food! We will definitely be back!
It was an amazing hike! Beautiful scenery! And really easily accessible. My boyfriend and I loved it. Going to try the picnic area tomorrow!
Easy hiking trails with best scenary if you want to take some time from the city. The park offers lot of other activities; Fishing, mountain bikes trails and picnic at the famous Fourways Farmers Market. Picnic area: Wonderful picnic area at the Fourways Farmers Market.
Magical place, great for a hike or jog, 5km and 10km trail available. Pay online via the website if visiting on a weekday and enter via Taroko farm.
Good picnic spot. Neat and clean. Rest rooms were passable. Picnic tables available however not many so if it is busy, you may not be able to get one. Peaceful, quiet and not too busy on the morning that i was there. Roads require maintenance on the side closer to the farmers market.
Did about 9km hiking with the boys. Thoroughly loved it. Restrooms: Been there on 2 occasions now. Superclean! They even have a change room with a
