We are a market-style shopping complex located in the heart of Montana offering a diverse range of shops and family entertainment.

Description

Montana Family Market is a permanent flea-market-style shopping complex located in the heart of Montana, conveniently right off Zambesi (across from Kolonnade Mall). We strive to offer a diverse shopping experience and to make the family the centre of our retail and events community.

More than 500 stalls offer an enticing variety of shops with products like electronics, clothes, shoes, jewellery, make-up, accessories, luggage, kids toys, household appliances, fabrics, souvenirs, sweets, craft products, antiques, audio/car sound equipment and recreational equipment as well as services such as printing, haircuts, animals care (dog boutique), nails and tattoos.

Weekends are filled with musical events and children’s entertainment to give our local families a chance to relax while browsing the stalls and also visit our growing range of food outlets.

We have a lovely children’s play park, ATM’s (ABSA & Nedbank), abundant bathroom facilities and our own onsite radio station, MFM Radio.

Shoppers and family favorite market to find great deals and services. Some prices are negotiable and many stores sell the same thing, so make sure you get the best deal. Food stalls are very popular and busy. Some scheduled Sundays there's live entertainment. Wheelchair friendly and easy accessible with some limitations. Note there's a children playing area available but be responsible when leaving your youngsters unattended. Entrance fee is R3 per person and pensioners are free. Ample free open parking available with multiple entrances options. Highly recommend visiting them.
The parking lot is neat and clean with plenty of parking. Entrance fee is affordable for all facets of people in the society. The stalls are typical Somali / Friendo's type of items that are sold in their stores all over South Africa. The stalls are terribly repetitive. The same articles over and over to the point of boredom. The food stalls are disappointing. There is a nice playground for small children, but there is no supervision and bigger children take over from time to time and can hurt smaller children. The playground is in the centre with lots off shaded seating and nice music from musicians. It was a nice pastime, but won't visit it a second time.
The Montana Family Market is a year-round flea market with many stalls! On weekends, it's a nice place to walk through! There is entertainment such as people singing, making it nice and cozy, as well as a playground for children. There is plenty of parking and food stalls, and the entrance fee is only R3, which is very reasonable! The only disadvantage is that there are a lot of shops, but they all have the same stock. A greater variety of different things would be fantastic.
We love going here, we visit this market every time we're in Pretoria. So much to choose from in the all the stalls and live entertainment every Sunday, closed on Mondays. We have a ritual of eating samoosas when we're their, love it, beautiful environment, kiddies play areathey had a security guard watching the kids while you shop but there wasn't 1 the last time we visited, which kind of hinders the shopping but would highly recommend it.
The best place to take kids out to spend the day while window shopping. This place got basically everything one needs, being outdoor, kitchenware, clothing, accessories, gadgets, and just about everything u can think of. Some weekends there is live performances taking place and kids love it. Great place and we love it.
Our family loves markets and decided to check this one out since it's open on Sunday mornings. It was not at all what we expected. There are a ton of shops, but it's the same 6 or 8 types of shops car audio, cell phones, toys, etc. over and over. There are some decent Indian food stalls.
A bit overwhelming, many small shops selling the same product, I think the quality is a bit suspect and the owners are all trying to sell. Not sure if u get a warrantee on the products, thus although the prices are good, not sure if I would buy from them, especially electrical stuff, but just my personal experience
Haven't been for a while, many stalls are cool with friendly staff. Some great places to grab a snack at affordable prices.. the staff at the entrance could be a little more helpful... Thanks
Go there every Sunday for Lunch at a small food supplier and enjoy a mutton curry. Great place to shop for cheap LED and sound equipment. Make sure to get an invoice with warranty conditions.
Good live music. Was quiet because of the long weekend. Always a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon
