It might just be the day we visited but it was quiet the selection of stalls was limited, and the coffee was of poor quality so we're the pancakes. Good seating under the trees and the kids can play within eyesight which is a bonus. The music is way too loud though, I doubt I would go out of my way to visit again but give it at least one go.
We had a lovely morning and enjoyed pancakes, Samosas and vetkoek. But stay wat from the coffee... The cappuccino I bought was revolting. Certainly not coffee of any description that went into the drink I received... Otherwise I was happy to discover the Braai Father who can also deliver meat to your home.
Decent outing. Enjoyed the food and nice ice-cream afterwards. Not a lot of stalls though.
What an awesome little market. Please try to support the locals whenever you can. Great day out
Great local Market. Worth the drive.
Very mixed feelings. We regularly go there to buy our rusks from a specific vendor, namely AMLO 4. The exceptionally loud music makes it difficult to enjoy strolling through the rest of the market.
Takes about an hour if you stroll from one stall to the next. A wide variety. The food stalls account for approximately a third of the market, and so far everything I've tried is tasty. Nice area under the trees with chairs and tables, to sit and enjoy the food you order. Just note, there are here and there stalls that only accept cash. So just take a little along just in case. The rest have card/snapscan/zapper as a payment options.
A great little outing for the whole family. Stalls sometimes have some cute, interesting, and unique products. If you’re lucky, you can find some deals, too. There are also food stalls with some local cuisine. My favorite time to go is in the winter, when the coffee is good and the proteas are on special.
Lots of stuff to purchase. Stall holders friendly and prices are great. Nice fudge and peanut brittle at Rusty. Rusks are top quality as with cheese spreads on sale. A great time spent.
Spacious market with a wide range of stalls arranged around the edge of the park. To the far end, a clump of trees provide a shaded area with tables and chairs. Mainly homecrafted products, toys, jewelry, leather craft and some clothing are offered on sale at fairly reasonable prices. There were lots of home baking on offer, including home-grown vegetables, delicatessen and baking, sosatieskebabs, a coffee stall but not so much by way of healthy fruity drinks. Good atmosphere and not too crowded. I was there around 11 on a Saturday morning. Some people even attended walking their small dogs.
