Absolutely a disgrace of a hospital. Such pitty that the staff doesn't care about the patients. It is like they only do it as it provides a income. Where is the care? Where is the sympathy? Our family is in the care of their hands. We pay private hospitals to get proper service but still not good enough. That staff should be ashamed. My mom had 2x heart attacks. She was laying in Emergency since 02:00 am , the x-rays could only be taken at 07:00 that morning which didn't happen on time. They only took her in at 11:00am for the x-rays! when going to the ward ICU , the nurse who should attend to her for the shift, was not even there the times we went to see my mom. Every time , they have excuses or walking around. When my mom's heart machine goes off, they don't attend to her when needed. It went as far that my mom felt she needed to call the police because of negligence. She couldn't go to the bathroom. She called for help but the nurses only said she should hold on - my mom started to cry because she couldn't relieve herself in her bed. When talking to the nurses , they are rude and don't give proper answers , they turn their backs on you when trying to have a follow up on the progress. My mom is to afraid to ask something as she is frightened that if something majors happen, they will leave her to die. I mean , what the hell!!! it is not acceptable! Unfortunately it was the closest hospital but they will never see me or my family again and I will assure to spread this awful experience.
I got there at about 2 o'clock. We were told to sit outside parking lot while my daughter was being attended to. 6 and a half hours later we left after I told them its ridiculous to wait that long. Suddenly it was decided that she had an anxiety attack and was fine to go home. In that whole time we had no feedback from any of the staff. Every time we asked for feedback it was the generic "we are working on it" answer. Another lady, who came in a hour later than us, were still sitting inside without her vitals even been checked. She passed out twice while she was still sitting outside with the rest of us. She later moved inside. Avoid this place at all costs!
This place has the worst emergency room ever... My husband had to wait for more than 5 hours before he got help. My 4 years old son and I had to sit at the reception in the cold night just waiting for my husband's admission ...
Had severe 8/10 pain in my abdomen. I couldn’t walk or stand. Got carried in by my fiancé and mom. Waited 1 hour to get vitals taken, a paramedic was helping me as no one tried to help me, he gave me a drip and checked in every 2 hours. Waited there for 8 hours with no response, no communication except paramedic. Dr eventually came in, didn’t say much, didn’t ask much, booked me for xrays. 3 hours later paramedic wakes me up, he was clocking off, nurses clocking off, they forgot that I was still there. He helped me to the xrays. Dr came rushing in, gave me the worst advice followed up with other drs and a 1 minute chat, sent me home because she was in a hurry to leave as it was shift change. Worst service EVER! I will rather take my chances on the street. I am very thankful for the paramedic because if he wasn’t there to help with pain meds/drip check AND MAKING SURE THEY DIDNT FORGET ME I don’t know what I would have done. Terrible service, terrible communication.
R2800 for a consultation??? I do not have medical aid but even if I did I see no reason for such a price. I will be honest, I came in on a Sunday afternoon so I can know prices are usually set at a higher rate also not morally right but I mean really? A total R2800? I came in, filled in the forms, sat down and waited for the receptionist to get to my file because the other two went on lunch. She looked at the file and then realised that I am a cash patient, she informed of the prices for that I am very grateful to which I said no and got up to leave. I had the means to pay such a bill and my man was willing to pay that bill for me so that I may be helped. I kindly refused his offer and multiple requests to pay it. Obviously when you aren’t feeling well you would like to be treated but that was a big no no. All Doctors in that facility should feel ashamed, in particular the GP’s. I don’t mind paying to be helped but those fees are outrageous. Worse is, after 30 minutes of sitting and waiting and not getting the help I needed, I still had to pay for the stupid parking ticket. ‍
Thank you to all the staff, nurses, Doctors, ICU nurses and Doctors to kitchen staff to cleaners. You can be very proud of yourselves as this is the perfect example of how a hospital should be. Great job and keep up the great work
Absolutely useless. A ruptured appendix is usually an emergency procedure. Not here. Here you will wait hours on end just to get a hold of a doctor. During your wait, you are lucky to get some pain medication when you ask for it. Ask and ask again, you might eventually get some, but this is accompanied by some of the most unfriendly nurses in the industry with attitude problems. Rather stay home. Your appendix would fix itself faster.
Waited 7 hours with 3 year old with hardly any assistance not knowing what was going on. EVentually when we were about to leave as she was hungry a dr came who said she had to be admitted BUT THEN left us again for an hour afterwhich we then decided to leave to seek help elsewhere.
The Admin staff are useless and unhelpful. We pre-booked on their website and had to sit in the lobby for 4 hours to wait on a bed, after a lot of whohaa we got to the bed to find out the bed was already available the previous night. The Hospital only shrugs their shoulder... they just want your money, they DO NOT CARE about the patient! The only shining star was a nurse Connie who cared for and about the patient.
My husband and I arrived at Montana hospital on a Sunday night, we waited 3 hours to see a doctor. His test was done very slow and spent the night on an ER room bed, very very cold, asking several times for an extra blanket, only receiving a sheet. The bear hug equipment to warm him up was only given to him the morning after. WHY???? I can understand that tests take some time to determine his illness, but keeping a patient WARM is a basic request??? I will not go to Montana Hospital again. My mother also had a bad experience, she was admitted for a pace maker replacement operation. She never even met the doctor, he never spoke to her except for a 30 second greet in front of the theatre. No follow-up visit, no conversation after the operation. Very bad experience.
