I have a special needs kid who has many a medical complication. I’m also a single mom so time is a thing for me.  Moved over to Morningside a few months back when a pharmacist there - Frances Reid - went out of her way to source Lamictin for my son which was out of stock nationally yet she made it happen. I think the word deeply invested comes to mind. Since then she has sorted out all his meds - directly with medical aid - and has it delivered at the start of every month.  When my son is sick, I pop an email with script and a few hours later the meds arrive.  Knowing I have this as part of my support system is invaluable.  Very grateful for her and the pharmacy which I have now been with for over 6 months.

Always exceptional and knowledgable service at the Morningside Dispensary. They close at 9pm, which is a plus. They have everything you need and more! Including a selection of curated gifts. Safe parking at The Wedge.

Am I in Beverly Hills California on Rodeo Drive ? No wait I’m in Morningside . Strategically  positioned on the Strip mall so you can drive directly to the entrance is a big plus for those with mobility challenges, parents with prams and children —- most importantly late at night as they are open till 9pm As you enter this independant retail pharmacy through automated doors into the air-conditioned  establishment—you are greeted by crystal chandeliers glistening form the ceilings. Well lit shelves makes for easy browsing for products on the lower shelves. Surprisingly- the aisles  are cleverly spaced to allow access for wheelchairs and easy to pass without causing ‘Aisle Bundle’. Browsing the aisles and racks you see the variety of products carefully positioned and easy to see prices. Take a break and browse  the top brand ‘spoil items ‘ such as imported perfumes , makeup and creams “ with well trained staff that are willing to assist with any question about their products. Heading toward the back is a in-house clinic offering blood pressure, wound dressing and help with  injections for those that need Vit B and other medicinal types with a sister in attendance NB tetanus injections available and qualified pharmacists administer these injections as a life saver !! Access to prescription and self help area  is quick, easy and efficient.Dedicated pharmacist use the most amazing system I have ever seen namely the Rowa Robotic picking and packing machine. I was invited in to see this wonder of technology- German engineering at its best. The pharmacist types in your prescription and this megastructure of a robot  a sealed air-conditioned room  then has robot mechanism that collects your medicine at super fast speed and dispenses it directly behind the pharmacist. This Robot keeps track of stock and most importantly expiry dates so you assured to always get BBD medication. The Unguator machine makes Tailor made specialized dermatological creams in sterile containers  Particular attention to safety of clients , patients and staff with 24 hour security inside the pharmacy.  The health section is tops with many products on offer - have a look at the sugar free items. After browsing through top end gifts and some hand made jewelry and gorgeous leather goods with exclusive name brands  great gifts ideas  have them gift wrapped for free. More like wrapped for a King. Tills are staffed all the time with a dedicated automated door exit. I see why the pharmacy council  graded this a A Grade Pharmacy Take note that this pharmacy is nature friendly and recycles - from paper and even promotes not using plastic straws and has eco friendly biodegradable straws ‼‼‼‼‼

The Morningside dispensary at the wedge is exactly how its advertised to be. Efficient, well stocked and the robot is super great. Their service and level of knowledge of the pharmacists on site is phenomenal. Friendly staff and safe and secure parking. Definitely worth visiting when in emergency due to their late hours or for your every need.

Emergency meds needed and this place was open and so willing to serve. Such amazing gift selection plus make up and  sun creams amongst the mix.

Went in on Sunday to get meds for my toddler. Great service both in terms of the short waiting time and the service from the pharmacist. This pharmacy also stocks FlavourX which is a brilliant flavour you can add to medicine to make it taste better for toddlers. Thank you for the great service.

Very friendly and professional staff, including floor staff and cashiers. The pharmacists also offer additional advice.

I started using this pharmacy from when I stayed in morningside and I have since moved to Bryanston and I still drive to the wedge because they are always well stocked and from my experience the staff has been lovely and helpful, although some of the staff in the dispensary can be impatient, I know the day is long and they are just human . So grateful for the long hours and convenient service. Always a lovely experience!

I highly recommend this pharmacy. It seems like they are always open and they have a delivery service. I have been traveling so I hope you do not mind me posting a landscape. I will take some photos of the pharmacy and will update this review. Thanks

Pros: They’re open till 9pm at night and everyday so that’s a definite win. They deliver to your house at no extra cost if you live in their general vicinity which is also cool.  Cons: If you go at peak times, the wait will be frustrating. Also frustrating that even if you call in a prescription for collection, you have to queue once you go there to collect. Calling can be taxing as regards hold times.
