Moving On handles the sale of the contents of properties. Mainly for Deceased Estates, Emigrating, Downscaling and Repossessed houses.
In a nutshell, we offer a unique way of assisting you to sell your household contents from the garden spade, the lounge suite, all kitchenware to the motor car or rubber duck and we take care of every aspect relating to the sale.
We will come along to your home and take an inventory and photographs of the items. Together we work out an agreed to price for each item. The photos of the sale items are then posted on our website and on the Thursday before the sale a newsletter listing all the sale items and their prices is sent out to our email subscribers (of which we have over a thousand and five hundred). On the Friday before the sale we come along to your home and label all the sale items and put up signage in the area. On the day of the sale buyers are only allowed through the gates at the specified opening time: no one is allowed to come in and view before the sale, viewing is done via the website posted on the Thursday before the sale. The sale is usually held on a Saturday morning or afternoon or on a Sunday and it takes one to two hours depending on the number of items for sale.
We do all the advertising, answer all the calls and run the sale from your home on your behalf. All the hassles and inconveniences often experienced when placing an advertisement in the newspaper, such as telephone calls at awkward times, late night or weekend visits, broken appointments, advertising costs and transportation worries are removed - we handle all of that.
The buyers pay cash or use a credit or debit card and we take 20% of the takings on the day.
