Upon arriving no one was present there to greet and be directed to seating. Menus were provided but upon ordering we were told sorry that and this cannot be ordered due to loadshedding I mean come on when we were provided with the menus better communication would of gone a long way! Another lady was complaining about slow service too so it seems this is the norm. Drank my horrible unnatural juice and aksed for the bill which ended up wasting another 15 minutes... Perhaps it was just one of those days but 1 star for now.
The best roast lamb, chicken etc lunch EVER....all outdoors ...... Cocoons of families enjoying their family time . The children happy and occupied...the adults enjoying each others company. What more could we ask for ?

Very neglected entrance and parking area. private function going without any notice in the parking area. Walked up to the entrance to be faced with the notice. Not cool!
Beautiful grounds the Café is very expensive but the food and coffee was very good and the service was exceptional

If you get the chance to visit here then its worth it. The Tea Garden is very beautiful and well set up. Lots of people book ahead for all kinds of celebrations and its a great atmosphere here on weekends. the food is good and hearty. There was a Gin Bar when we went which looked impressive. The house itself is something to see.
