The reception staff are unprofessional and rude. They don’t have a system in place so three people are asking for the same information the last person asked. They have the patient file as my dad has been seeing Dr Kruger for a few years yet they can’t find it even though he has an appointment booked. We’re told to come at 8am for the surgery at 8 30am and he only went in after 12 30pm for the anaesthetic. The process is not made clear as to what will happen so you’re waiting around not sure what’s happening next and when it will happen. While Dr Kruger may be a good ophthalmologist, his practice is all over the place with staff not knowing if they’re coming or going. Would recommend finding another practice that’s more professional and transparent.
My mum had lost her sight in both eyes. But then we were late taking her for treatment. Dr Kruger is excellent, he recovered mum eye right eye sight. Brilliant work Dr Kruger and Team.
I've have seen several opthalmologist who, when not certain, use age old cliche: these things happen in old age. He removed floaters.. Cataract operation And retinal detachment. This was done in 2015 + 2016. It wasn't easy dealing with the receptionists but at the end of the day with lots of patience I won. The best eye specialist in South Africa. Fantastic practice, who treat patients with utter care and integrity. Dr Kruger is phenomenal, and deserves all thanks for his service to people with vision impairments and related issues.
Friendly and competent staff and Doctors. Always treat you with the utmost respect. Professional facility, up to date technology and procedures and the Doctor's are always furthering their education in their field.
I had a chronic large macular hole and a cataract in my right eye. Dr. Viljoen operated on me a month ago. The hole closed perfectly and the lens inplant is also clear and perfect. From day one all the personnel at Northcliff Eye Centre treated me with so much respect and dignity. I don't know how to thank the whole team enough for their professionalism and kindness. Dr. Viljoen is absolutely the best opthomologist I've ever met!! I can recommend him and his team wholeheartedly to any patient!! Thanks again. I am SO SO thankful!!
Shocking my 90 year old father in law was left waiting for 1 and half hours in his wheelchair. MR Gordon cane ul from PE to see specialist. Definitely will not recommend anyone goes there as they do not care about any patient having to wait.
Always have a problem with having my calls answered, and when it finally is, I get put through to the next person who takes forever to pick up the phone, if at all. It is very frustrating. Calling a few minutes ago and experiencing this again just reminded me about every other similar time
Reception is pathetic.. after having to call 4 times to go through to Dr Viljoens room the lady just proceeded to continuous transfer me even when the call cut and I call back she would continue to do the same thing... in view of the other reviews it is something that no one at the centre seems to want to address... absolutely disgusting and puts your centre in view of a government department as this is what you would expect from them
You wait for ever for someone to answer a call which has been forwarded !!!! its crazy
