Description
Northern Farm Nature Reserve (also known as the Diepsloot Nature Reserve) is one of Johannesburg's best-kept secrets and offers over 2500ha of beautiful green grasslands and woodlands to explore.
There are several dams in the reserve as well as 270 different bird species (incl. a breeding pair of fish eagles).
Many different recreational users i.e. cyclists, horse riders, hikers and birders enjoy relaxing in the open space and clean air of the farm.
It's a great family outing and offers safe and secure parking at the clubhouse, where toilet, shower and braai facilities are available.
"Northern Farm, also known as Diepsloodt Nature Reserve is a Volunteer run non-profit recreation park. The reserve offers 110km of custom built MTB trails, trail running and hiking. Host to over 24 dams and over 270 different bird species. A true piece of country just 10 minutes from Fourways."
