Charity soup kitchen that provides love, food, clothing, etc. to the community who have nothing.
Dear family friends and anyone willing to help. A lady by the name of Ntomboluntu Thandani ,who I have gotten the privilege to know and trust when finding her work, is in no means well off, but uses the little money she earns to help feed children and the elderly in her community. We have tried to help as much as possible but she is desperate in need of any donations to help these starving people, such as, non perishable foods, old clothes, hats for kids, blankets, cooking utensils, soaps, shampoos, creams, face clothes, basically anything and everything you can spare has value to them (not money as this can sometimes lead to people having issues). Certain kids don't even own clothes, blankets etc. and some of whom, when walking to the soup kitchen, will pick up any piece of garbage that they can find along the way just to be able to put their food in, and when it is very cold some of these children will go find stray dogs to sleep next to just to keep warm. This is just some of the heartbreaking things experienced. I have seen the amazing work and love Ntombi is trying to do to help these starving and homeless individuals first hand.We do not know what the true meaning of struggle is and what it is to really have nothing. For someone that has nothing really themselves, she seems to be trying to make some difference in the life of these kids and even some of the elderly who come to her starving. Please will you see the letter she wrote below:
"My name is Ntombolutu Thandani. I grew up in Walmer township. I grew up in a very poor family, raised by a single mother. I know how to be homeless and I have experienced situation where I go to bed without any food. Growing up, I had a dream of making a difference on someones life by sharing from what I have and giving to the poor. An Angel of mercy offered me a job then I decided to start cooking for the community, especially for old people and children beacusein my area there are lots of people who are in need. I started cooking 3 days a week after work for approximately 30 children and 10 old people. But now I cook for +- 70 children and adults. With the help of my sisters, I still carry on. I would like to cook every day if possible but I don't have enough funds to do so"
