Nu Metro, The Glen Mall

What an amazing experience. I haven't watched a movie in the cinema in ages and today I took my boyfriend and brother to watch Avatar 2. The whole process was simple and the staff were AMAZING. They were so friendly and helpful - they even brought me my hot chocolate into the cinema so that I don't miss anything. Truly a lovely experience!

Good selection of movies as well as show times. The employees are so pleasant and the seating is great. You can relax and enjoy a movie without worrying that your legs will hit the seat in front or moving for someone to pass you.

The aircon was off in the packed cinema. I had to go ask someone whether it was on or off. A gentleman at the popcorn counter got someone to switch it on eventually. We went back a week later to watch another movie. We arrived earlier than the movie time so that we could purchase our snacks and drinks. With only 1 person at the counter downstairs and 1 person at the counter upstairs, everyone waited in long queues just to be served. Downstairs, someone had a problem with their vouchers, so this held up the queue. We ended up missing the first 25 minutes of our movie! Totally unacceptable when we pay full price, but don't get to watch the whole movie! On top of that, the popcorn was oversalted and inedible. What a waste of money, as we all know that it isn't cheap either.

Wanted to go to the movies to relax however the seats weren't really comfortable and not looked after. Was a bit disappointed after i had high hopes for a relaxing time. The movie was excellent though and the popcorn is definitely a must

Bad service was there on 27 December 2022, there were offline self service was not working. Had to buy the tickets by the snack section. The queue was long there was only 2 staff members assisting with the ticket and snack purchases and there were sharing 1 speed point. Queued for 45 minutes

The experience wasn't the best, I had good service and the layout is ok, BUT! Popcorn was stale and it's too expensive for that nonsense, the seats were more comfortable than say carnival cities stirkinikor however they are very worn down. I opted for 3D because it's Avatar 2, The electricity was a problem for 15 minutes about half way through the movie, Eskom!!! I get it BUT... they didn't carry on where we left off... NO you miss those parts for the time they are down! And they falsely advertise that loadshedding won't be a problem , I would say cutting time in a movie is a MASSIVE problem! Sorry broken movie and stale popcorn at that outrageous price! Unacceptable!!!

Cool experience only problem was that the seating wasn't to comfortable and the seats height infront of us was abit too high to see over and seating abit dirty aswell but had my sanitizer to spray but still..... and the cup holders was dirty too.....

Absolutely thé worst service at Nu Metro The Glen today. 2 people behind the counter with the manager watching at a distance how it took them 25 minutes to serve 1 group of 4 people. And then we still had another 3 groups ahead of us. Only after we started to ask about other options for service an attempt was made to better organise the que which was no help because people arriving 30minutes after us, were given priority service. The manager finally got behind the counter to help. Fortunately the movie was good even though we missed the first 15mins. Will definitely reconsider the cinema choice next time.

Great experience, less ques with the self service terminals. Snack selection needs work same options for Years now and existing items are overpriced popcorn and drinks in particular but otherwise no real complaints. VIP is a great new option with separate menu offering alcoholic drinks and gourmet foods that can be consumed while watching the movie and the reclinable seating is first-class.

Popcorn cold and stale...what ever happened to fresh hot popcorn like in the old days. But other than that a nice experience. Clean cinema with good sound and comfortable seating. Personally I think the cost to watch movies and eat or drink something is very expensive, but that's just my experience
