Nurturing Nannies provides a unique Nanny and Baby play group aimed at enhancing the physical, cognitive and social development of your baby through play.
NURTURING NANNIES offers a weekly group session, providing Nanny and Child with directed age appropriate activities and exploratory play ideas, which can be continued at home.
Each 1.5 hour long session is based on a different theme and incorporates the main areas of your baby’s early learning and development:
fine motor control
gross motor control
sensory and perceptual development.
Consideration is also given to encourage early literacy, problem solving, creative development, personal, social, health and emotional well-being.
It is important that nannies are afforded the essential knowledge as to why various activities are introduced providing them with the motivation to continue practising and expanding on these back home with your baby: equipping them with an insight into child development and a toolkit of activities to refer to when playing with your baby at home.
During the 1.5 hour long session, nannies are encouraged to take advantage of the various materials and equipment that you may have at home and turn them into creative developmental toys - perhaps with a few sparkly bits thrown in!
The idea is to highlight that "there is a learning experience in some unexpected places. It is just a case of knowing how to take advantage of it".
