It's a good school if you're looking for an alternative approach for educating your child. It offers a 'free spitited' view, no uniform, art, music & independent thinking are emphasized
I think this school is an grate opportunity for all kids from age's 7 up to 18/19 my sister got an amazing chance at this school I however was not so lucky to go here I now wish a had of gone here, thank you for making such a amazing school.
What an absolutely wonderful way of helping children to grow and learn and develop every part of them as young people to become ready for the real world out there. Awesome balance between creative thinking and problem solving; academics, musinc and sport.
Baby group and play group teachers are amazing. They are committed and loving. The environment is warm and kind and happy. My children have thrived under their care. You can also drop kids off and have a great cup of coffee, and get some work done at the coffee shop
Holistic school. Does research projects as part of their syllabus grade 11.
Best school in the area in my opinion. My kids are thriving there.
My eldest daughter joined Waldorf in class 8 and is currently in Matric IEB. Waldorf offers both drama and art as Matric subjects and initially that was why we were interested in the school. But we found so much more! A community based school where parents and students are involved. A unique approach to education that focuses on individual development by complimenting academic work with practical classes such as woodwork and handwork. The classes are taught to engage the head, heart and hands through storytelling and a very creative approach to making their own text books. A place where you have freedom to become who you are meant to be - curious, creative, independent thinkers. The school is not focussed on using digital technology at a young age and have quite strict media use policies for younger children. They believe in introducing it in an age appropriate manner, so that learning takes place through, imagination, stories, real life experiences and play in the younger classes. Having said this, I have to compliment their covid response and how the teachers and students embraced online schooling, for a few months. My youngest daughter joined in class 4 and will be going to class 8 next year. I wish I knew about Waldorf when she was younger. Definitely worthwhile to explore if you are looking for something different. PS: This is not a remedial school.⁷
The school is just at the entrance of the Bryanston Organic market & set in a very quiet location.
Michael Mount is a very special place. Both my children loved every minute of their schooling here. Highly recommended
No school deserves 5.0 and Sheldy Tha Ninja approves of this school because it has a super weird design, dude.
