NWU - North-West University

An incredible, inclusive, multi-lingual University. Everything from botany to book keeping is available to study. The TOP South African University and certainly the largest in the country. With more than 12 000 graduates at the end of 2023 this University is PUMPING. I also enjoy all the recreational facilities such as the tennis courts, playing field, and braai areas. Once a member of the NWU, always a member of the NWU. <3

I'm giving this one star solely for the poor service received for their admin offices. Poeple their are rude unhelpful and lazy. Financial offices aren't much better. Also regarding graduation, I was notified two weeks in advance. I'm a professional and not a student anymore, I needed to book annual leave which should be done a month in advance. These people live in a fantasy world and only of their own making! Sad to see the uni reduced to such a mad house. P.s. the photographer at the graduation has no idea what he is doing, he morphed our photos so badly we all look like constipated hedgehogs. Definitely not worth the small fortune we paid...

What a horrible graduation experience. All suited up - but denied to attend my graduation for my Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the NWU Business School - even though I RSVP’d for the 10:00 ceremony. The sorry excuse I got: “Sorry, the auditorium is full. You can come back tomorrow or if you’ve traveled this afternoon at 15:00.” I only arranged for half day leave, as I have responsibilities at work to attend to. The campus is an absolute mess today. No one knows where to go with long unorganised queues. Comparing this to previous experiences with the NWU - North-West University and my own graduation in 2016 - things has seriously gone downhill at this once prestigious institution. Everyone around me on campus were complaining about the horrible experience they are having today, which was supposed to be a proud day. As NWU Alumni, I am embarrassed of my beloved university.

Absolutely disappointed by the shop where you buy merchandise. I ordered about 2 years ago and still haven't received my jersey.
