O's Parys

Good food and location next to the river. Nice place to eat for a sunny day. Not recommended with very small kids next to open river.Food: 5/5

Pictures as is. Pictures were not edited or manupilated. The O's experience take you to the banks of the Vaalriver in Parys. Lovely laid back setting. Reserve your table if you want to sit next to the river. There is a lot of seating outside and inside. It would be nice to have a view with the trees near the bank not having plastic bags hanging from it. A bit of effort will make it less of an eye sore. You will most probably be welcomed by the residents cat, Felix. If you not a car lover, he might be nuisance. Monkeys will entertain you with their acrobatic skills in the trees. The service is laid back as the place, yet friendly and efficient. The menu is quite large with a variety of interesting choices for pizza. We had the 1.1kg of Pork Ribs and it was soaked in juiceness and came with wedges. A nice standard veggie with it would be nice. The pricing is not cheap for a small dorpie town. It is worth driving to Parys from anywhere in Gauteng and enjoy a pleasant outing, finishing it off at O's. It is almost a 5 star place.

This has got to be the best restaurant I've been to. Nestled amongst trees and next to the Vaal River you will definitely find this place tranquil. You have the option of sitting under the trees and listening to live piano music while watching the the river flow by. Service is good and fast. Menu options are top and not to expensive RR. I'd advise you to make a booking before you get the as it can sometimes get full. A great place for the family as it is children friendly

Lovely place..great views and nice to sit and converse. Very much full of vegetation and I'm sure at night, it's it's whole beautiful view. Nice menu and options for drinks but no cocktails and variety of sweet ciders. I'm not liking the plastic tables and black chairs though which is not a uniform look as some strings have nice chairs and tables.

A great dining option when you’re out in Parys. The views of the river make it a calm and picturesque experience. The wait staff is friendly and helped move us inside when it started raining. The inside is cosy and they have fireplaces and moody lighting. The food is more homey pub-fare than fine dining, and comes in very large portions. Chicken Schnitzel - a bit on the dry side so needed a lot of sauce to go with it, but overall not a bad meal Traditional Stew - a delicious stew but some of the pieces of meat were tender and some weren’t. The potatoes could also have been cooked a bit longer. The tin bread was different and a nice addition. Pork Neck Burger - a massive portion with a delicious sauce to accompany the pork neck steaks. The burger was good and the chips even better

Spent a lazy Sunday in Parys. Went to the pub for a few drinks with my son and his wife. They had cocktails... and yummy!! Barman was superb at his job. Loved the atmosphere. Definitely going back!Service: 5/5

Beautiful setting in front of the river, with lovely staff, however food is not good at all and very overpriced. Probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life- undercooked, tasteless mince and waaaaay too much cheese. Milkshake was also very watery. Unfortunately overall was an unsatisfactory experience with a high price tag
