My relationship with "Oh My Cake" started a bit on the rocky side as I found the cake ordering process burdensome. Fortunately the team quickly corrected the issue and delivered a fantastic experience. The cake looked and tasted spectacularly, the reaction from the recipient this was a surprise gift was extraordinary. I can't thank the Oh My Cake team enough for delivering a stunning visual and culinary experience, including coordinating a complicated delivery to a high security complex which is NEVER easy in JHB. A special thanks to Mulalo who took over after the initial hiccup and made sure the execution was flawless!
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional service from Oh My Cake! I was in need of a last-minute customized order of cupcakes, and they went above and beyond to accommodate my request. From the moment I reached out to them, their staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and not only were the cupcakes visually stunning, but they were also incredibly delicious! Overall, my experience with this bakery was nothing short of delightful. Their ability to accommodate my last-minute request, the stunning presentation of the cupcakes, and their prompt delivery all contributed to an exceptional experience!
Loved this cake! Beautifully decorated & looked exactly like the pictures. It was just gorgeous and elevated all our photos at the bridal shower we bought it for. I ordered the chocolate cake with chocolate butter cream filling Golden Moments cake - absolutely decadent!! So delicious. Was ready to collect at the time agreed. It's packaged excellently in a box that's sturdy & easy to transport on the floor of the passenger seat side of your car. Huge online selection.. You can select a colour from a few options for certain cakes. Super easy and quick online selection and payment process.. Sends an email confirmation once you pay. The only thing is it's not cheap.. I paid R773 for a cake 15cm in diameter with a personalized banner added. I personally was super happy with my purchase and was happy to spend that amount for a professionally made, piece of art delicious cake which is what I received. Would purchase it again if I had a similar event again since this cake made the event so special.
The cake was amazing! So moist and soft. I was expecting it to be ok because we ordered it at the last minute, but it was delicious! So worth the price!
The name makes sense now because my daughter said "oh my cake" when she saw her cake. I needed a cake withing 48 hours and opened the first link in Google. Very happy with the online ordering process and the ease of use. When I was picking up, I tasted a couple macarons /macaroons and they were absolutely delicious. Loved how friendly the staff were, deserves another visit.
Best cake, service, idea for presents ever! Love that you can order an amazing cake, cookie, and have it delivered in lieu of flowers etc for any occasion. My absolute go to for birthdays etc. Thank you for this.
wow! i got the red velvet and it was super moist and the best red velvet cake i have ever had - and i don’t even like red velvet. it was a last minute order and the cake looked so professional. 10/10 would recommend, chefs kiss, immaculate. still dreaming about that cake a week later :
My son have a love for cupcakes and Oh My Cake! did the job. You know when a cupcake is good when he doesn't want to share and he ate it all. We ordered an oreo cupcake and a unicorn milkshake to share. The icing was a bit sweet but when you eat it with the sponge, it just balances it. I'm not a fan of milkshakes but this was delicious. Real flavour and the creamy taste but how cute was the design!!! A minidoughnut that tasted like Xmas filled with cinnamon and spices. My son ate the marshmallow unicorn. Love the place, so instagramable!!! Love the cupcakes, macaroons and cakes-to-go displays. We'll definitely go back for some more.
I purchased a cake on Saturday for a birthday party- the cake looked amazing and I had high expectations from this company, however I was severely disappointed as the cake was stale and hard even though it had been out of the fridge prior to cutting it. Not one person wanted to eat the cake because of how bad it was. Take your money elsewhere, as they are not cheap and definitely not worth the price. They did not even bother to respond to my complaint email.
Worst experience ever and most definitely will not be using this place in the future. If I could give Zero stars, I would do so happily. Where to start ... ordered a cake for my son'r 16th birthday on Friday morning. Paid for express via a link that was sent to me by the company - a lady by the name of Rita. I paid immediately and sent her an email to say I had paid. A couple of hours later, she asked me AGAIN whether I had and I responded on that email saying I had paid. She then went radio silent. Saturday came and went. No contact to come and fetch a cake. No confirmation email or a message. Mind you I was asked for my details which I provided. Sent an email, Sunday NIGHT when the birthday has passed Rita sends me an email saying she was struggling to connect to the internet. Anyway ... I then request a refund because a No cake was ever produced despite payment and b the birthday had passed and I had made alternative arrangements. I sent another email requesting a refund on Tuesday and suddenly the emails don't seem to work. Maybe there are connections again as today is Thursday - 6 days since I paid for a cake I did not receive and still nobody has made the effort to contact me. I don't want an apology, I just want my money that I paid for something I did not receive. I did not want to post a negative review either but apparently this business has so many other important customers that my order is irrelevant. SO can I please just get my refund please.
