A must if you are in Ermelo, the condense milk peanut butter balls, biscuits & koeksisters are the best, very sad about the service, the cashier will look much better with a smile...

The best koeksisters I have ever tasted. I also bought some hot sauce here and it is delicious. My family and I stop here anytime we go past.

A couple of years ago on a visit to a friend in Ermelo, I was introduced to a apparent South African koeksister ‘champion’. Apparent; because it had not passed my test. I recall the extreme critique that I gave it, on my first try. As 100% adult South African, I can attest to the fact that on every measure of a perfect koeksister; Ouma Rooi scores a perfect ‘10’ … I am so pleased they are now in my local super market. I surprised them with a visit to buy some factory fresh; and met the most wonderful people running this business. With a tour of the factory, I can also attest that these incredible morsels; are produced to five star standards, in a five star facility, in ‘absolute’ cleanliness! Thank you Rina, Gerda and all the staff for your wonderful hospitality. Most of all; thank you for ‘one’ absolute fresh out of the oil tester, against which now, all future koeksister’s eaten, will be measured.

Most definitely the best koeksisters in the country

Went there on our way to Pongola. The shop is very tidy and clean, almost spotless. The foods are well packaged and I received friendly service. Koeksisters were a little too juicy for me, but that is just me being fussy, left it in die packaging for another day and they tasted great. Definitely recommend especially if you are on a road trip.

Ouma Roois is number 1. These are honestly the best Koeksisters I've ever eaten and I just can't get enough. It's not just a koeksister shop though, there are all sorts of tempting treats. Thanks for being so friendly and welcoming, it's really a pleasure to come into the shop!

Always stop and buy koeksister and sletsister when visiting my parents in Arnot and buy going home. These koeksister works well in my mountainbike rides. Its like a vooma just better and cheaper. fYI tannie se koeksisters is n wenner
