Pet-a-Pond is one of the largest speciality pet supply retailers in the Pretoria East area and boasts an impressive shop with pet supplies of all shapes and sizes.
The shop houses an extensive aquatic section, as well as a selection of small rodents, birds, exotic reptiles, spiders and our very special Tenrec’s. We’ve always had a policy of not selling cats and dogs, but we do cater for all their needs and wants with accessories in the latest trends.

Wonderful pet shop. I've been supporting them since 2009. They always go out of their way to help clients. They ordered a specific aquarium light for me that they didn't stock and even sent me a message once the light arrived. Their fish are also of amazing quality. I would definitely recommend them if you're interested in the aquarium hobby.
It's an absolute pleasure visiting Pet A Pond! Well stocked, reasonable prices and helpful, friendly staff.
Had everything we were looking for. Caters for numerous animal types. Assistance from staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Prices seems to be in line with similar stores, with various in-house specials. Will definitely return for future needs.
I noticed a Tarantula that was squashed between the lid and the container it was kept in. How even? it's a 4x4 cm transparent container ... spider was completely dried out at this point, when I showed it to the staff they laughed it off ...they obviously don't take their responsibility seriously In Response to the owners comments on my review 1 I don't know the EXACT measurement of the containers ... its a circle container with a radius of 2 cm :-D 2 I thought it would be clear from my review that I informed the staff the tarantula is dead , which they removed - trying to discredit the actual events by saying no one remembered does not make it any less true.
Always excellent service, proper knowledge, koi and pond experts, thoroughly stocked, and best prices!
Good variety, clearly mark tanks when fish are treated for disease and not for sale.
If I could rate 0 stars I would. Male staff are rude, unhelpful, fish are in terrible condition. One was killed with the staff member trying to get them out of the tank, the rest had a horrible case of ich and all died, despite our efforts to treat it. Would not recommend.
Friendly and always willing to help! Prices are also good!
Staff were very helpful and we got what we wanted and more.
Service is absolutely amazing it's such a pleasure shopping here. Home away from home vibe.
