Pietermaritzburg Muslim Women Organisation constitutes of a group of ladies who strive towards making the lives of the underprivileged easier. The tasks undertaken by the organisation are based purely on a voluntary basis.
- Regular visits to our welfare cases are undertaken, to ensure that they are indeed worthy of receiving zakaat.
Welfare cases are give a monthly grocery or electricity voucher and in some cases, financial assistance towards their rental.
- During the month of Ramadaan, a generous hamper is given out
- During winter we distribute blankets to those in need
- once a year the womens orgaisation take our welfare cases out for a day of pampering
- We offer bursaries
- We can organize community service for students
- The Al- imdaad foundation and the P.M.W.O regularly team up for projects.
The above mentioned is our very basic yearly structure.
May the Almighty Allah (swt) use us all for HIS service and to alleviate the suffering of the ummah, InshALLAH.
Funds collected for all our projects are personally distributed by the P.M.W.O . Rest assured, We make sure that your zakaat / lillah is distributed accordingly. For the pleasure of Allah (swt) and may HE accept from you and from me.
