Pine Lake Inn

The place is so beautiful. We had a wonderful stay and the staff was great. Please put mini bars in your rooms. The lunch menu was amazing but dinner was disappointing because you only have 1 of three choices and the chef was not willing to take a special requests for a large group of 16 people that wanted something from the lunch menu. Shout out to Joey for being a wonderful host.

I would NEVER bring anyone, especially big groups, to this venue. The staff is not friendly at all from reception to the kitchen. They don't smile, not willing to help, when you ask anything they are ready to answer and shunt you off. We were a group of 175 pax and only one serving point was prepared, that means long queues and by the time the 175th person gets to dish, some dishes are finished and they take time to refill dishes. Simple, they can't handle big groups, though they have potential. Rooms--some rooms have been renovated and are nice and livable, but the old block is so ancient it creates clashes as to who gets which room. Please revamp the other rooms as this creates chaos when hosting groups. Rooms: They are not disability friendly, the whole area from reception. Some rooms are old with old furniture, some are newly renovated with the hotel feel. Food & drinks: The food is fresh and nice, but staff should be trained in hospitality and being friendly when hosting guests. They wear serious faces and are unapproachable. They make sure they make you feel small as a guest. Not enough staff to clear tables when people are done eating, not enough serving points either. Noteworthy details: Maybe if they improve their service but I will not recommend this venue to anyone.

Rude unhelpfull staff. Kitchen staff gives preference to certain people. Wifi is slower than dialup internet. Very expensive room service. Restaurant menu is one page, refuse to serve room service menu in the restaurant. Not enough ice if you ask Overall a BAD experience

Stay was fine, but basic stuff that they should get right is Wi-Fi !! Apart from only having SABC 1 2 and 3, they have the Etv special channels and that’s it! Although I’m not a big television watcher, everyone should have decent Wi-Fi and this place does not!! Hope they get this right in the future! Everyone who pays hard earn money should have decent Wi-Fi. Hope they get this right in the future… however I will not be staying here again…

Stayed at Pine lake inn for a week with a group of colleagues. I don’t know how this is possible but the hotel has two doors directly next to each other that use the same key and as a result I had two male guests from the room next to mine “mistakenly” walk into my room after midnight using their own key. I called reception immediately after and was asked to wait it out until they can handle it in the morning. In the morning, the situation was never handled or sorted out.

Top service. Super clean and neat. I would really recommend it. Rooms: Super clean, neat, and well maintained. Food & drinks: Fresh and delicious food. The buffet breakfast was incredible.

Last minute stop over and was pleasantly surprised. Great views and setting and clean comfortable rooms. Dinner was very good- beautifully prepared fillet. A very good and reasonably priced hotelRooms: 4/5

I came here for the view, and unfortunately the room l have been allocated has no such. The only view l have is the TV in the room.Rooms: 1/5
