Pretoria West Hospital Folateng

I am lost for words. I had some hope that one day things would be fine with public hospitals looking at Pta West hospital as it was doing its best. Today I have lost all that hope having experienced an extremely poor service from this hospital. Service delivery is poor, extremely slow from file opening, payment, OPD is worse. There were no long queues today, just the delivery of the service is extremely poor. Worst of all, there was a patient who was very ill, she has been in the queue from around 8 am until around before she could be attended but still, she was not even taken to an emergency room instead she had to lie sick on the bench.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My son has a growth on the inside of his nose, and it's causing problems because he can't breathe through his nose. I took him to a clinic, and they referred me to PTA west hospital. Got a referral letter to take to the E.N.T department. We went to PTA West Hospital. Asked where we should go. Sat in a queue for about 5 hours, and then a very rude nurse asked us what we want. I gave her the letter and said that we need to have my son's nose looked at. Her reply: We don't have an ENT department here, so you have to leave and go somewhere else.

Wonderful nurses and doctors took good care of my little daughter and the other kids who were in the same ward with her and they all left healed and healthy.

Really feel like they should appoint more helpful staff. People are rude, slow, incompetent, doesn’t care about emergencies and treatment is not good.

The best public hospital ever , I gave birth on da 15/10/21 at this hospital and the treatment was awesome. If I get pregnant again, that's the hospital I'll run to

Poor service. I'm worried, how are they going to cope with the implementation of NHI. Some nurses are clueless of what is required of them, as if they were forced to take the profession

The doctors and nurses are so dedicated and friendly. I was admitted for 3 days and was amazed by their service and the cleanliness. The best Public Hospital I have ever set foot in. Thank you Pretoria West Hospital Staff, I had a pleasant stay and well looked after.

The Antenatal Clinic provides the best service ever. The nurses and doctors are committed to delivering the best effective service ever. Imagine being number 50 in line and you already done with your checkup by 12h00. Keep up the good work

The worst goverment hospital. I cannot even give it 1 star rating. Doctors never return calls, and the nursing staff way under par. They do not care about the patients, and seems they are only after a salary at the end of the month. No care or compassion whatsoever. PATHETIC to say the least.
