The location of the hotel is absolutely amazing. The kitchen and reception staff were good. The worst serving was house keeping. There was a very rude old lady there who simply opened your room before you allow her to.... No greeting whatsoever. Other than that our experience was amazing
The hotel is generaly fine, great location. Although some things could definitely use improvement. The food at breakfast and dinner was questionable. Most disappointing was the dessert at dinner and some breakfast foods were definitely not fresh. There also seem to be quite a bit of silly rules for guests to abide by, and also staff come into your room, not referring to regular housekeeping.
Very bad experience, requested morning gowns, they were delivered. 30 minutes later we were called to pay R900 deposit, when we refused they came to collect them. We asked for wine glasses we were given water glasses. A supposedly 4* hotel. What a disappointment!! No face towelsRooms: 3/5
Friendly staff clean room big heads off to prudence manager for breakfast took the time off to understand the real meaning between halaal and halaal friendly. Only thing is the rooms windows we couldnt open we were boiling because of the heat we had to put on the fan where we didnt want to use coz of my little 1 was sickRooms: 4/5
The hotel rooms need a serious make over and the hotel needs a new magement team. At its current rates it is way over priced and pictures on site are very misleading as they might have been taken whilst it was still new or have been edited to make them pretty which is the opposite of what you get once you get here. This hotel used to be a Protea Hotel. What has changed its the logo everything else it's still that old hotel. From getting a substandard room which was later upgraded for free to drilling noise whilst I was in a virtual work meeting which never stopped even when I complained I will never stay here again. UNLESS IT'S UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT AND A COMPLETE RENOVATION HAS BEEN DONE.
Rooms are neat and spacious, the staff are really friendly. Had supper and breakfast and the food, service and cleanliness was always tip top.Rooms: 5/5
Rooms are decent and reception very friendly. Room service food could be better. The biggest downside is the shower, hardly any pressure - and it goes from boiling hot to ice cold, no inbetween temperature
Positives: - Spacious & clean rooms - Friendly staff - Well presented and maintained hotel - Feels 5-star - Great Wi-Fi Well done on choosing Ruckus Wi-Fi Negatives: - Extremely bad check-inn experience - Rooms are not sound proof, noise from passage and adjacent rooms are audible - The noise factor is so bad it needs to be mentioned twice Summary: A poor experience for a brand like Tsogo and a big disappointment for us. We really looked forward to a pleasant stay and a positive review. We stayed at City Lodge PE a month ago, which one would think lesser of compared to Tsogo certainly ito soundproof rooms, but sadly you would be making a mistake. Take heed to the reviews complaining about the noise factor, it is real.
Absolutely beautiful Hotel. Didn't stay but I have been at a couple of meetings at the venue and they are always friendly and helpful.
Sea view good. Clean room . Friendly staff at reception and kitchen guy yooo super friendly .Rooms: 5/5
