Protea Hotel Landmark Polokwane

1....On Google maps it showed the long way from Jhb...there is a short cut from the Star garage does not show on maps..also no signs that says either the word Protea hotels or Marriot... 2. Room was nice and clean but the shower was defineatly cruddy and not clean. 3 . Service was excellent...breakfast outstanding

Check in was great. Unfortunately, the location seems old and it's kind of showing. The shower part of my room never worked for my entire stay and there was a weird smell like mold in the shower. The TV have a few channels but some are not clear, the signal is weak. Aircon was working great. The restaurant food wasn't too great. First day it was not covered, so it dried up. Lunch packs was not so great for me, despite writing down everyday that no pork or red meat, they kept on including bacon in my lunch pack which made it all useless. It wasn't all bad though, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I forgot something when I checked out and they even called me to notify me. Had a very great experience. The service was wonderful. We had great meals . The place was clean , very hygienic. The stuff is also friendly and welcoming. I will surely go back and have a nice time . The dinning area have a very nice view with swimming pool and relaxing chairsRooms: 5/5

The bathroom in room 113 needs some TLC, call a technician for the aircons in room 113 and 116Rooms: 3/5

Everything was great. But there was a noisy group at the time and we were not shown our room. Rooms: The rooms are clean. I had two huge beds for my partner and i together with our child. The bathroom was also very clean.

The towels were dirty, toilet was not clean when we arrived, they need to buy new towels those ones are old besides being dirty, change air-conditioned is old, it needs new lookRooms: 1/5

The room had carpet and this thick smell of moist, with an aircon that did not work. When the neighbor took a shower the whole room was buzzing. The shower was in a bath tub and slippery as hell, i nearly injured myself when i slipped in the shower and i even reported it to reception but nothing was done. The door latch was broken but nothing was broken see pitures posted. The restaurant is not even a 1 star even though the food was more like home cooked meals. This was of the lowest standards of accommodation i have seen by protea.
