Old torn towels and bedding, Reception staff Patricia horribly rude, literally threw the keys and the remotes without explaining where to go and called next, rude from the moment I walked in . I told her she needs to direct me and apparently am rude… wasn’t surprised to find old torn towels with worn out bedding. If you want professional,comfortable and clean stay look somewhere else. This will spoil your mood.

The place is very clean. Management there is very good and welcoming. I would recommend it to everyone visiting around Polokwane to book and sleep there The place is wooow

Good place for a weekend off the grid and internet free weekend away with someone special. It's not the ideal place for children because the walls are thin. However, for adults its appropriate. Super affordable too! However, I don't recommend staying more than 2 nights given that there is no room services for budget rooms and the sink is tiny! Also, not advisable if you don't have a car but it's still doable with an Uber given their more drivers in the city nowadays!

This place was really nice. Getaway without going far. The only thing is the customers that were there when we were there. They played music until 5PM. That was annoying.Rooms: 5/5

Room no. 1 is dirty, there was no dustbin, the walls are dirty the sink, kettle and microwave were dirty, in general we stayed in a dirty room I don't want to talk about the toilet brush and the bathroom, this lodge used to be one of the best what really happened to it and what happened to the complimentary tea and coffee sachets

The tellers were so arrogant and rude, I'll never buy from that shop but as for the petrol attendants they were very friendly and helpfulService: 1/5

We recently been to Polokwane and booked in by South Gate Lodge. What a lovely place. I phoned when we're on the road and made pre-arranged booking with Precious. She was very friendly and helpful. We only arrived after 6 but our room was held for us. It is nice and quiet. All the staff and other personal and management were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay the week of 2 February 2022 to 7 February 2022. Will definitely book in again. Constantly keeping it clean and making all customers want to keep coming and stay welcomed and happy.

Horrible service at the reception and the shower in Room 32 was smelly and dirty had to shower wearing flip flops. Extremely limited TV channels and the bed was uncomfortable. Planned a two night stay but checked out in the morning could not stand the horrible smell from the shower. Maybe there are better rooms but honestly speaking from my experience "stay away from this lodge".
