I always get a nice workout there, but you need to cut the grass now. It's not easy getting a workout when the grass comes to your waist Nice environment, though.
Not a great area after dark. Couple of vagrants who look for any opportunity to break into vehicles-car guards are either in cohoots with the criminals or are completely useless. During the day the place is messy, full of rubbish and basically is not being properly maintained. Broken fences, courts, car park etc bring the whole area down.
Used to love shooting hoops there, now people have broken the hoops are stolen them and taken them home for. Themselves, there's only. One hoop left which is sad but atleast we can still shoot
I took my son so that he could try out baseball. There were a nice easygoing informal team but apparently my son would prefer to see them approach the sport in a rather more serious fashion. Teenagers Hey!!
Unfortunately, Johannesburg City Council does not adequately maintain these fields. The Baseball members do their best to keep things going, but with limited funding, it is difficult.
