Thank you to Michael and his team at Redecorate for amazing workmanship, service and turnaround time. Our dining room chairs look better than new - reupholstered to the highest degree! We also had couch cushions re stuffed with new inners, which have also come back better than originally bought! Very happy customer!
We recently moved to Parkhurst from Cape Town, so you can imagine our pure delight when we discovered a second-hand furniture store that does re-upholstery right on our doorstep. We bought a beautiful ottoman from Michael and his team and had it re-upholstered with leather. The whole process was seamless and a pure delight. We've had some hair-raising experiences with Joburg service providers, who have to be constantly harassed before they get round to doing what the customer is paying them for. This is the reason why the engagement with Michael, who kept us abreast of the process at all times, was so refreshing. It shouldn't be, but it is quite rare that a business owner is so hands-on and attentive to a customer, so I'll gladly do business with the team at Redecorate in the future.

Good place to give your older furniture a new lease on life. Michael and crew work quickly to turn our couch around for us with new strapping and new legs. Kept us up to date with images and were a pleasure to work with.
I had asked Redecorate to repaint my side tables. They were a dark brown and I wanted a glossy white. My initial experience was great with the owner. I literally texted him and he would reply almost immediately no matter the time of day, which i found comforting and professional. The minute my side tables were taken i received no further communication on progress of painting my items. Until I enquired about progress a month later. To which i was told stories about my side tables being damaged and therefore needing minor repairs which i think should’ve never turned into a month. What peeves me besides only receiving the side tables a month and a half later is that the owner took me for a fool and thought any little unreasonable excuse would suffice. If you want a headache, take your things to redecorate.
Michael and his team exceeded *all* already high! expectations. Their quote was quick, and reasonable; they arranged to collect the two chairs as soon as I was available; they kept me updated about their very swift progress on fixing and re-upholstering; and they delivered right after the job was completed. Michael kindly agreed to work with my own, difficult, striped fabric - and the results are absolutely beautiful! Great artistic and professional care was taken. Thank you.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy and quick! Doing business with Michael and the Redecorate team to sell some of my very loved furniture pieces was a dream experience. All quotes were done via photos on WhatsApp and he sent his wonderful team to come load and collect from my house. And the money was in my account within 1 hour of them leaving my house, if not sooner. A great experience all around! Thank you!
