Nice, clean and peaceful place, very friendly staff. Has its private access path to the beach 100m. Good pool with small non-swimmers area. You get a private bathroom, ours was in great shape. Playground: includes swings and a trampolin, with much space around. Restrooms: individual restrooms with hot shower. all in good shape.
Such a pleasant place to camp and relax. There's water, electricity and clean ablution blocks. A nice pool and play area for kids. A nice big lapa with a fire pit for events.
Great caravan Park, with a pool and beach access with quite a few steps down.
Very close to the sea and well placed for camping
A lovely lush camp site, many are well secluded. Private ablution and dishwash facilities, could do with a good clean. Laundry facilities looking very sad, only 1 washing machine in working order, no tumble dryer.
Small camp ground with neat ablutions. Lots to do for kids
Very clean and tidy. Pool and jungle jim area for kids. Walking distance to beach and restaurant. Dedicated bathroom per site. Peaceful breakaway from home.
Location: Chintsa West East London Rating: 3/5 Overview An overall very nice and cosy resort with private ablutions. No sea views but the sea is a short walk and down a staircase behind the dunes. It is pet friendly. There are about 11 permanent residences as well. The do have pensioner, long stay, rates. Contact the resort for prices although booking is challenging at times. Electricity is paid for separately. Ablutions The private ablutions are neat and tidy and serviced regularly with no baths and showers only. You have your own key. Bring your own toilet paper. An outside sink is provided which you share with your neighbour. Stands The stands are large sized in the region of 14 x 14 meters. Some stands have lawn but a lot of stands are dirt only. This creates a big dust problem when the wind blows. A tap is provided next to the sink. Bring a 20meter hosepipe. A steel drum braai is provided with braai grid. Braais are cleaned daily if you remind them. Most stands have big shady trees. This is the coast so monkeys are ever present and ready to snatch whatever they can get. Lots of birdlife. Amenities A pedestrian gate give access to the beach down a steep staircase. The deck halway down the staircase have benches where you can sit to watch the sun rise. The rocky beach is very nice to explore at low tide. Fishing is very good here and the Chintsa river mouth 100m down the beach is used a lot for fishing competitions. Nice swimming pool with a lapa. There is only one restuarant/ pub nearby which is not bad. The closest shopping centre with a Spar, Tops, 3 restaurants, hardware, ABSA and filling station is 11 km away. Security The whole park is fenced with an entrance and beach gate that is locked at night. Although they have no security, we felt very safe there. Comms No park WiFi. We had a good MTN signal that allowed Netflix streaming although it tended to disappear every now and then especially during power failures. General Friendly staff and so-so booking system. Send a mail if you don't get through the first time. The roads and gardens needs some tlc and dust for us was the biggest issue, apart from barking dogs which the owners seems to be unwilling to do anything about. We will visit again.
We arrived yesterday.... it is so peacefull and beautifull. The private ablusions is a bonus.... clean and comfortable.... the host is very friendly and helpfull .... we are enjoying every moment. Yoy can take long walks on the stunning beach!!!
The caravan park is just off the main road. What I like most about this establishment is that each camp site has its own private toilet toilet, shower and basin and communal washing basin shared by two campsites. All campsite receive a fair amount of shade from trees. There's a private access to the beach for morning and evening beach walks. The host is extra friendly. Ice and wood can be bought any time.
