I absolutely love this Spar. I have never been to a South African shop that prioritises customer service like this Spar. The staff are all friendly and more than willing to help customers with a smile. I am constantly asked if I need help. I don’t feel like I am inconveniencing the staff by asking for help. I recommend this Spar to anyone who is sick of the ‘boss mentality’ or the ‘you are disturbing me but I will help you because I have to, not because I want to’ attitude, which is abundantly prevalent in South Africa. I cannot recommend this Spar enough. The food is always good too and very well priced. Thank you Riverside Spar for reminding me that this country still has business owners who strive for customer service.
Visited this spar for the first time today. I was only getting flowers when someone immediately came to assist me with a bag. We had a nice chat and she was so friendly. When I got to the till I received the same kind and comforting atmosphere. They even offered to remove my price tag for the flowers and we also had one lovely conversation. The store is so nicely organised and neat. Would definitely visit again after having such a kind and friendly experience. Thank you Riverview spar.
Store looks great after upgrade, but they charge crazy prices for goods not on special. Paid R70 for a tub of Bovril, almost had a heart attack
This store wont be seeing me again. Secons time that we have bought their vacuum sealed chicken and it smelled like death. Decided to take it back today as we just threw it away the previous time.After the cashier had called the manager and she was told what the problem was she wanted to replace it and we told her that we would rather take the refund as we dont want to take a chance on another piece of rotten chicken as we already had to drive 8km to get a refund. She didnt even bother to smell the chicken so it seems like a regular thing as one of the customers stated that she had the same problem before. Realy hope that nobody else wont be able to prepare dinner for their 3 year old because of this

2019-05-23 Very frequent visitor for many years. One of the most visited SPAR stores in town located in the more affluent part of town. Their meat section is recommended. Cozy feel to the store. 2019-05-25 Another satisfying visit.
Nice recent revamp done! Bakery exceptional with nice goodies.
Enjoy going there. Convenient. Fast. Friendly. Wish I could buy smokiouki rib rubs there
