RJ Cleaning Sercices understand the need for an efficient and professional cleaning service and put pride in the value of the service we render to the client. Our passionate team of employees boasts a positive working attitude which guarantees a job well done every time.

Our genuine commitment to BEE is best reflected by the company’s 100% black South African ownership and its shareholding initiative - the company has allocated 20% of its shares into a trust account which has been allocated to supervisors and team leaders.

We constantly strive to be strategically innovative and remain committed to a level of service excellence which enables us to remain price competitive and retain our position as a market leader. Therefore we are also currently in the process of registering to become a member of the National Contract Cleaners Association (NCCA). The latter association is an integral part of the wage negotiating team which establishes wages and related benefits for employees in the Contract Cleaning Industry.

The management team is dedicated to a service delivery which will create and maintain optimum client satisfaction. This will be done through:
• Regular communication with clients
• On-going assessment of client needs
• Developing client relationships
• Setting and maintaining quality standards on a “right-first-time” basis.
• Following up on inspection reports
• Monitoring complaints
• Giving prompt feedback to clients on complaints
• Giving attention to detail
• Re-appraising existing contracts through enhanced productivity norms (labour and equipment management)
• Retention of contracts
• Establishing cleaning plan for each building.
• Creating and executing a regular schedule of visits
• Adhering to Cleaning Specifications.

Our employees are empowered and developed as far as reasonably possible within the parameters of business ethics. The company boasts an excellent Mentorship programme developed whereby Middle Management selected from the previously disadvantaged individuals are encouraged to enrol at either University or College to attend the accredited training courses from NQF level1 to NQF level 5. ABET level I – V is also available to all illiterate staff members. This course is given in-house by our trained ABET facilitator.
Every employee is issued with a contract which contains all relevant information - e.g. salary, conditions of service and duties to be performed on daily, weekly or monthly basis. We also try to accommodate employees to work near their home to cut travelling costs.

Our Garden Services included contracts with 70 clients since 1997 which were rendered in Pretoria. This service ended when the company relocated to Cape Town to trade as a Cleaning Service. References are available on request.

Environmental Consciousness

We are committed to regulate the manner in which we conduct our business to such extend that a healthy balance is struck between economic considerations and the company’s responsibility to protect the environment against degradation both in the short-term and in the long-term. We therefore through our environmental policy aim to:
• Ensure the proper cleaning and improvement of the environments which falls within the scope of the contractual cleaning duties
• Ensure the proper and safe disposal of waste products
• Only use non-toxic cleaning chemicals, products and machinery which have the least impact on the environment and which are consistent with professional cleaning standards
• Immediately return chemicals to the relevant manufacturers in cases where the expiry date of those chemicals has been exceeded in order to prevent damage to the environment• Only use chemicals and products that have been formulated according to minimum SABS or alternatively international standard
• Only buy chemicals and products from approved suppliers.


Human Resource process

We are fully experienced in delivering and offering a full Human Resource function which includes:

We therefore can provide our clients with the option of providing the complete cleaning staff compliment or to make use of/recruit current staff on their premises. In case of the latter scenario, the following procedure will be followed:

• Termination of the services of your cleaners, by mutual agreement, in accordance with Section 197 (2) of the Labour Relations Act, we can assist with the relevant documentation, which has been drawn up by a leading firm of Attorneys.
• The assessment of your current employees for potential re-employment under a new contract.
• Employees who are re-employed would be required to accept such employment under the terms and conditions of RJ Cleaning Services and as governed by the requirements stipulated in Sectoral Determination 1 of the Labour Relations Act pertaining Contract Cleaning in South Africa.
• Should the client wish to do so, they may pay a subsidised wage (to increase the employee’s income) in addition to the minimum wage we are required to, in accordance with the stipulations in Sectoral Determination 1 of the aforementioned Act, pay a contract cleaning employee – we will however administer the total payment to the employee.

The following requirements pertain to the recruitment of cleaning staff:

• The person must be male or female as per requirement of the contract specification.
• Be in possession of a valid S.A identity document.
• Be in possession of a blue/ UIF card if previously employed.
• Be resident in an area which is reasonably close to the place of work.
• Be functionally literate, e.g. able to comprehend warning signs.
• Meet the physical requirements of cleaning duties.
• Have not been previously dismissed by a Cleaning Service Provider for misconduct or poor performance
