Rocky Aloe Lodge

We visited the lodge 3 years ago as 3 couples, we really enjoyed the stay and breakfast on the deck was perfect, everything was very clean, romantic, everything in the room, quite weekend, nature around. was very pleasant indeed. the stay was short I can still visit again and again.Rooms: 5/5

We were treated to royalty by Chantelle. We were brought coffee in bed every morning. The rooms are extremely clean. The surroundings are so well kept that you can spent the whole day on the establishment. Excellent place for a break.

Amazing toom. We stayed in room 5. It has a lovely small kitchenette. Comfortable bed. We enjoyed relaxing with access to netflix en YouTube. Bathrooms are great, I really enjoyed the jacuzzi bath. Place is very neat and tidy. There is a nice view point for the nature reserve next doorRooms: 5/5

Very disappointed by the treatment we got from this place. Checked it out online and since it’s not far from where I stay I drove there to view the place and make a booking for a special event coming up. Was sadly told I cannot enter the place to view it because of COVID. 30th August 2022. Protecting their staff. A staff member who I spoke to at the gate was walking around and mentioned nothing of that sort. It was very clear that we were not welcome and neither was our business wanted which is ok. There are plenty of other lodges around. But the attitude and the rudeness of us being told to leave while at the gate like that was saddening and , this day and age. It is an unfortunate reality that a lot of things still need to change because being looked at on camera and simply deciding to send us back to wherever we come from because of covid which is no longer a pandemic is very prejudice. I am glad I never went beyond the gate to experience whoever I spoke to on the phone . I cannot begin to imagine how we would have been treated if we had somehow made it inside the premises…. An unfair assumption but a sad reality. If you have the audacity to turn people back at the gate like that…. Then the rest is probably horrific.

This place is quiet, cozy and conveniently close to Krugersdorp, Crade of Humankind and the Magalies. The accommodation is neat, well kept and has some impressive African inspired deco. Chantal, the host, is friendly, hospitable and attentive. The unit has an Braai area, with a boma for you to enjoy the sunset. The property borders the Krugersdorp Nature Reserve, which sadly was not open when we visited. Come here for peace and quiet.

We've been to quite a few places in in the area, and honestly this place stands out. Beautiful and relaxing with an amazing few of the game reserve. The cottages are well designed and you feel at home as you walk in. The lady that runs the place really knows what she is doing, and she makes the most incredible breakfast! Will 100% come back again.

The most awsome experience; we had the best weekend. Thanks to Charlize for her warm welcome; hospitality; and checking on us asking if we are okay and our little chats. The place on own its out of this world, tranquillity, queitness and peacefulnesswords can't. even begin to explain but definitely it is worth it and would recommend to everyone you won't regret it .Not forgetting the room with the most beautiful view and amaizing bed. Overall they exceeded our expectations... We'll be coming back. Thank you for hosting us

Great location close to Joburg but far enough to enjoy the country and overlooks the reserve. The units are beautiful and attention to detail including a surprise hot chocolate and mallows delivered to our door on the coldest day in Joburg. To top it off a lovely breakfast delivered to your door with a thought out meal prepared for kids and adults. We will be back.Thank u

Fabulous. We in a unit for 2 people, our breakfasts we very good, for us if anything too much food. Practically a few changes would be good, get rid of the bar and put a kitchen unit in, need some place for stores and a nice work surface for coffee making etc. Overall I enjoyed the stay.
