Was assisted by Vinitzia Roode after my complaint, she was quick to assist, arranged for pickup of the original unit and delivered a brand new unit as well as a gift to apologize for the inconvenience caused. ORIGINAL POST: Not impressed. Purchased a Rizzen 600W power station from Rugged SA, they delivered a used item. Scratches on the LED screen, with no protective film covering it. The rubber feet at the bottom also indicate that it was put on another surface before. The device had 60% power remaining when plugged in for the 1st time. Clearly not new. They also don't respond to emails once the order is delivered.
Vinitzia, definitely a keeper. Professional, friendly and incredibly dedicated to customers. Went to change a phone and Charlene's service was fantastic as well as the Sales Manager Grant, who took the time to personally discuss the reasons for phone return and with no hesitation assisted in getting a new phone. Absolutely love Rugged SA and also the phones. HIGHLY recommended. Their online buying system works just as well and is trustworthy.

Its like buying water proof watch and it dies the first time you put it in water. I bought a phone from them in the beginning of this year after 3 months the screen went black . They fixed it but would not replace it . And 4 months after that the screen went black once again and they told me I had to fix it on my own cost because there was a small crack on screen which did not affect the phone at all. Then 2 weeks after my phone returned from them the phone broke once again . This time it had water damage. The phone is sold as a water proof phone and can take photos under water . Little did I know it was like those cheap watches you by that is water proof and when it goes under water once it dies . Absolutely terrible company . Then when I phoned to ask if they are willing to replace it they said they refuse and when I told them I would gladly take this to social media the rude lady just urged me on and said that I should do that. Absolute horrible costumer service. Bad products . DONT BUY FROM THEM
After reading about all the issues various clients had with these "rugged" phones on Google reviews and Hellopeter, and of course the aftersales service, I would rather not buy from RuggedSA. After all, client service is something you cannot water down whatsoever. Back to searching for companies with proper aftersales service.
Horrible service. Was supplied a faulty phone and now struggling to send the phone back due to Rugged SA incompetence to fix an error they keep making on their side. I am extremely frustrated and angry with the lack of service being provided.
Absolutely horrible. I purchased an armor x5 and after 3 months the screen went black. Then they refused to replace the phone. They fixed the screen and after another 2 months the same thing happened. They told me I would have to repair the phone out of my own pocket . Absolutely horrible service. My phone's screen went black 2 times in 5 months. Absolute rip off. Do not buy from them
In the last 4 years we have bought 10 items from Rugged SA. 7 phones, 2 watches and a wireless charger. Everything started off well. We bought two Armour X5's few days in one had software issues. They where kind enough to replace the unit after alot of back and forth. 4 months ago we bought 2 Armour 14's. Same issue...one of them had software issues and kept restarting. Took it in. They made us pay for a flush or whatever you call it. A week after that while overseas the phone did the same thing. Went in yet again. I told them I've had enough and want a replacement. Guy said it will be a replacent or a refund. I still said I don't want the money. I want a new phone. Someone will get back toe. I had to call in for an updateonly to be told someone will call back. No one did. I called again the Monday. Was once again told they will call in 2 hours. No one called. I emailed....no response till I called in again to say no one has called nor responded . Zero aftersales service, none whatsoever.will never buy from them again. Done with Rugged SA
So far I have not had much problems with the products, however the client service and after-sales service leaves much to be desired.
Most people review on the day they receive their order, but I though “Let me give it a week and see how it goes” … Firstly I had a MILLION questions and Stephen patiently replied to each one of my questions .. My order was placed and delivered the next day !! impressive choice of courier guys. I found the willingness to answer my questions and Stephens advice a key component in making my choice of the Blackview BV9500. Now the device … It DOES take some getting used to, it is 90% batter and 10% phone so it is not light! I used it hard the first couple of days, setting it up and stuff and the battery did not go below 80%, all in all a great device and I am very impressed with its features, ease of usability and the way it looks and feels.
